  1. Pretty clear from earlier weather reports that there was no way this meeting was going ahead. Why waste everyone's time and money by waiting so late before calling it a day? Out of interest, what's with the flag on your avatar?
  2. Some do. Cut off dates for one. Next Saturday is my next day off.
  3. Rye House qualified for the 2007 PL play offs in 4th place at the cut off date, eventually going on to win the trophy. Birmingham went on to finish 4th in the league, Rye House 5th. Can't see any Leicester appeal being upheld.
  4. Not surprised it's off. Raining for most of yesterday and again last night and this morning. Track will be saturated. Does anyone really want to pay to watch something similar to Belle Vue v Poole last Monday? I certainly don't!
  5. Any updates, however biased, are most welcome... I update Rye home meetings (and the away meetings I attend) on my Twitter account. It started as a service for Rye fans who couldn't attend, but now I have followers from all over.
  6. On the contrary Michael.... My point was that Tai, in only his second season in the PL and at only 17 years old, was team riding a lesser rider home for the entire race, not shooting off into the distance and leaving his team mate way behind, especially when a league point was at STAKE.
  7. I am... Hope that clears up any confusion It's my opinion. I'm sure it's still allowed on here
  8. In Tai Woffindens second season with the Rockets he spend a lot of the season paired with Tommy Allen at 3 & 4 where he often sat behind to protect Tommy Two Laps. Cooks a decent rider, his average doesn't lie, but he's not in Tai's class and never will be.
  9. Nothing on either site. I doubt either side would be so foolish as to publish a date for the final before they've even had the replay.
  10. We were standing directly in line with the start/finish. There wasn't one person around us who didn't think that Rusty hasn't got third place. The referee wasn't even in line with the start/finish line. His view is pretty much the same as the still published, ahead of the line. I'd say we had a better view. Does the ref get to see a replay via T2TV, or does he just get one shot at it?
  11. Afternoon meetings at Rye are generally pants. Perhaps being colder may help. Hot sunny days don't help to keep any moisture in the track
  12. Every week there is a request for first aiders, this week it was two required. I think there's a benefit meeting planned for him at the end of the season, so you can take it that he has retired
  13. I dunno, could be. I only heard him mention Luke's name and put 2 & 2 together. Is that Indi the Ace of Herts?
  14. Perhaps I phrased it incorrectly... It was clearly Rusty on the line, but the ref amazingly gave it to Kasper... I had already typed out a 2-4 on my phone ready to Tweet when the ref announced the result
  15. Not sure if Luke is eligable to race in the NL... Was on a 5.57 average before his season was ended early by injury.
  16. Just to pi$$ Comets fans off, Ken of T2TV posted a still of the finish of the race where you can clearly see Rusty finish ahead of the Rockets rider, turning a Comets 4-2 into a 3-3
  17. Luke Bowen making his comeback, I presume for Kent... I thought I heard Chris Schramm's name announced at Rye last night, I'm guessing in the Dons side.
  18. Only 5 home heat winners is pretty poor. Expected an away win before the start of heat 15, but GT Lawson missed the gate and was nowhere. Comets had their gating boots on and looked more up for it. Poor performance from Howarth cost them an away win. Apathy amongst the Rye fans. Rockets just weren't at the races and it showed. Comets should be disappointed not to have taken the win. They'll never have a better chance to win at Rye House.
  19. Thanks Bolly. Later on we'll have highlights of they grumpy old boy by the startline mouthing off at the ref at 9pm followed by a new cookery programne, Shadders Cooks Quorn, at 9.30.
  20. I'm a few miles to the south where we've had some light showers. Still a few dark clouds about, but plenty of blue sky and bright sunshine. BBC weather forecast is usually pretty reliable http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646807 Over to Bolly, our Hoddesdon weatherman with the local weather... Good afternoon Bolly
  21. Didn't see much in that Redcar side that lost heavily to Rye House last week to worry about.
