Edinburgh V Rye House (pl) 23/8/13 @ 7.30pm
Shadders replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Every week for the past month or so we've been told that "Jason will be back next week" and every week I've said there's no way he will be. The break in his leg apparantly isn't healing properly. Somebody needs to crack some heads together. -

He reported that he was in sum (his spelling) pain this morning. Time to stop all this nonsense and admit that he's not going to be fit enough to race for a while yet. -

According to accounts he threw down his crutches, jumped on his bike and came onto the track popping wheelies. Did a couple of laps before retiring to the bar, still on crutches -
Sheffield V Scunthorpe 22/8/13

My Sheffield connections say Jason was seen on crutches before the meeting, but no further news Just been told he chucked his crutches to one side, climbed onto the bike and came out doing wheelies.... Absolutely barking!! -

Gonna miss this one sadly. Can't get time off work and they've finally clamped down on my speedway "sickies". It's taken them 6 years to notice, ahh well. Can't see anything but a comfortable home win. Hopefully we come through unscathed for the following nights meeting at Berwick, which I can attend with a quick dash up the ECML Track should be a little wet from the forecast late afternoon/early evening rain, although you never know what your gonna get with the Armadale micro climate. -
Some of you Bandits fans clearly need a history lesson 2007: 51-41... One of the weakest looking Bandits sides of recent years against a Rockets side that won the PL play offs 2008: 60-33 2009: 51-42... Even with Adam McKinna & Greg Blair at reserve it was comfortable for the Bandits at the end, despite the performance of the veteran Andrew Silver 2010: 50-40... Despite having Pepe Franc at reserve and the one of the PL's best riders of 2010 Linus Sunstrom, the Bandits won comfortably enough in the end. 2011: 43-41 (abandoned after heat 14 due to curfew)... The closest we've ever been to a win at Shielfield Park in my years as a Rye House fan. The only Rye House PL meeting at Berwick I've missed since my first visit in 2005, due to a rained off meeting earlier in the season. 2012: 50-40... Despite the Bandits losing both reserves in heat 2 they cruised it in the end. The whole evening was all about the Charlie Gjedde circus, but the main reason the Rockets came away with nothing was the shocking performance from guest Ricky Kling. Rockets arrive on the back of a very difficult meeting at Edinburgh on Friday night. Who knows if we'll come away from that unscathed, mentally and physically. Question marks over the fitness of Jason Garrity and Olly Allen who looked a little rusty last Saturday at home to Ipswich. Anders Mellgren is having an real up and down season. Brilliant one week, less than brilliant the next. Kasper Lykke looks down on confidence and can't gate to save his life, something you can't get away with at Berwick. As far as I know this is Pontus Aspgrens first visit to Berwick, so who knows what we're gonna get from him? Add to that Seb Alden must surely have a better meeting than last week and Kozza announced as fit to ride and it all points to a comfortable home win by 10-12 points, even with Liam Carr replacing David Bellego. In fact if the Rockets win I'll kiss Dick Barrie on the centre green after the meeting I should think they'd checked with Rye House before announcing the line ups Ian

A title he's given himself to make him sound important. Doubt there'd be a helmet big enough if he was still racing

Bull$hit.... Everyone knows most referees act differently in televised meetings. -
Redcar Bears Vs Leicester Lions 15/8/2013
Shadders replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Weird sport. A team dispatched home and away last weekend win comfortably at Redcar, a side that has been up around the top of the league all season. -
Rye v Ipswich encounters are usually lively, entertaining affairs. This one should be no different. The possibility of a Jason Garrity return after a long lay off and doubts over Olly Allens arm injury make this a hard one to call. Cameron Heeps was injured at Ipswich last night, so doubts over his fitness too. Hopefully a decent attendance despite the Latvian GP on Eurosport, but the forecast of heavy showers and light rain may put a few off

I'm talking about serious life threatening injuries. I've got a lot of time for Adam, PL winner with Rye House and all round good guy from all reports, but I don't want to see him end up in a wheelchair, or worse -

Time for Adam Roynon to call it a day before he does himself some serious damage -
I should think the same rule would apply whether he was reserve or in the main 1-5

I've seen a close up photograph of part of the track showing a rock sticking out of it... That ain't normal surely?

Pretty sure that Len & John would've checked with the BSPA, so no problems there. I'm still not 100% convinced that Jason will ride Saturday. It's a tough one against Ipswich. They're no mugs
