Garritys broken bones aren't healing as expected, so he'll be out for a while yet, although Saturdays programme notes mentioned next week!
As far as I know the Aspegrens aren't related, but I can't be positive.
Lose by 7 or 30, still leave pointless. I'm just relieved I didn't make the journey. Doing Redcar and Scunny next week, expecting to lose both, but not by 30!!!
Perhaps not, but I'd bank on Doyle beating Doolan & Lykke in heat 11. It's a risk though, anything could happen such as an engine failure or a fall. I'd always take the points, rather than risk it, but only Morris and the team manager would know
You can add "bad luck" to that.
Expect to read something along the lines of, "the Rockets preparation was hampered by the late finish at Hoddesdon the previous evening". There ya go, instant excuse
Have they hired Alistair Campbell to write the match reports? So much spin I could've put my washing on it to dry
No mention of Morris deliberately missing the gate in heat 10 to give Doyle a tactical ride in the next one? I stop short of saying he laid it down on purpose, because he didn't need to. Clever management, or cheating. Make your own mind up
If you read the post again there is no blame attached to anyone, just a general moan about the length of the meeting.
This has happened before and lessons haven't been learned. That's all I'm saying. It's up to others to question why.
A few slipped away during the 2 hour break. Most stayed on. Don't know how much more of this people will take. Sure, we won, but that's the only positive I can come up with
Heavy traffic, road works, ducks crossing the road, make up your own. Rumour is the ambulance was held up at the roll road as the driver didn't have 50p to get through.
Thankfully Tom Perry has only severe bruising to his shoulder. Lewis Rose has serious pelvic injuries.
Remarkable performance from the remaining Rebel riders. We threw a point away, but to be honest I'm passed caring. 10 minutes short of 4 hours to run 15 heats. Do me a favour!!
The track was far too dry. Only remember a light sprinkling during the meeting. Very much gate and go. Anyone trying the wide line usually lost ground. Only the second time I've been to the place, so I couldn't say if that was a typical meeting. To cap it all off the last portion of chips was sold to the guy ahead of me in the queue!!
All I heard announced is that was he was "under the weather"
All but Kennett can take an extra ride.
John Andersen listed in the programme as team manager, but Dennis McCleary and Dick Barrie are in the pits too
