  1. If you read the post again there is no blame attached to anyone, just a general moan about the length of the meeting. This has happened before and lessons haven't been learned. That's all I'm saying. It's up to others to question why.
  2. A few slipped away during the 2 hour break. Most stayed on. Don't know how much more of this people will take. Sure, we won, but that's the only positive I can come up with
  3. Think you hit the nail on the head with the latter. Was meant to be Grajczonek until he realised he had a Polish meeting
  4. Heavy traffic, road works, ducks crossing the road, make up your own. Rumour is the ambulance was held up at the roll road as the driver didn't have 50p to get through.
  5. Thankfully Tom Perry has only severe bruising to his shoulder. Lewis Rose has serious pelvic injuries. Remarkable performance from the remaining Rebel riders. We threw a point away, but to be honest I'm passed caring. 10 minutes short of 4 hours to run 15 heats. Do me a favour!!
  6. With a stop to change driver and a detour due to motorway closure!!
  7. The track was far too dry. Only remember a light sprinkling during the meeting. Very much gate and go. Anyone trying the wide line usually lost ground. Only the second time I've been to the place, so I couldn't say if that was a typical meeting. To cap it all off the last portion of chips was sold to the guy ahead of me in the queue!!
  8. All I heard announced is that was he was "under the weather" All but Kennett can take an extra ride. John Andersen listed in the programme as team manager, but Dennis McCleary and Dick Barrie are in the pits too
  9. Rider replacement for Aspegren. You sticking with that prediction?
  10. It was Bristol. Lucky I had an atlas on the back seat, so I could plot a route through the city centre, cos B4E has absolutely no sense of direction. I hope to be asleep by the time we hit the M4 this time
  11. Haven't checked the paperwork, but I guess the restraining order has run it's course. Loads of rain on Friday, but looking good for Saturday http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646807
  12. It'll be a happy journey home if they do. Nothing worse than a long journey home with B4E when the Bandits lose!
  13. Only has one bike I'm told. Possible for next year if he's interested in a PL comeback
  14. Don't know much about Aspgren to be honest
  15. Indeed...http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/Sport/Speedway/Aspgren-to-Join-Rockets-20130627154049.htm
  16. Pretty sure I read Grajczonek guesting at Newcastle for Rye. Doolan only dropped a couple of points from memory when he was last at Rye in the league with Redcar last year. Haven't had the food at Rye for a couple of years, but people tell me the standard have dropped in the chip bar. Was a terrific meeting in the LC. Always enjoy watching Doyle race. Somerset to nick it by 2-4 points.
  17. Remember Woffy Snr breaking a collarbone in the Poole match? His second ride I think. Remember we lost 38-40 to eventual champions Poole, but we hammered Edinburgh (including a young Mark Burrows) by 30 odd. Silver, Garrad, Mullarkey, Woffinden, Stevens, Rolls, Brice. Think that was the line up. The programme is somewhere in the garage!
  18. I agree. £20 is excellent value. My first ever live speedway meeting was a double header at Rye House, v Poole & Edinburgh in 1985
  19. Kasper Lykke is looking for a lift from Denmark and a mechanic for Friday!!
  20. In 2005 I'm guessing *EDIT* Just dug out my 2006 yearbook. Away wins at Hull 10/8/05 (46-44) and Stoke 17/8/05 (49-46)
