  1. Close bolly... GP, take away Indian & bottles of Coors
  2. Sure we were allowed r/r when Frampton quit the day before a meeting. That font is almost impossible to read on a phone.
  3. You may have to wait a little longer http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646807
  4. Can't think of a number one who could cover for Olly within the budget. You're always taking a risk with guests, but I can't see that they have a choice. Sometimes you're gonna be struggling if there are a few PL meetings on at the same time and choices are limited
  5. No draught beer and the side in tatters... Rough times at Rye House.
  6. "Robert Mear has announced that he's taking a break from racing". I thought he'd done that weeks ago!
  7. I fancy you have your tongue firmly planted in your cheek. Most of our side are out of form, the reserves especially. Haines and Koppe seem to have found some form from somewhere. You'll never have a better chance if grabbing something out of the meeting.
  8. At the start of the season I'd have said that won't happen, but after the way Silver dumped David Mason, a rider who's been associated with him for 15 years, I'm not so sure now. I heard Roynon is Glasgow bound anyway.
  9. Hope the track has some dirt on it, cos that boy can't gate. Good to watch when he's on it though. I heard that Silver was after him last season, but he was asking for too much dough...Ricky Wells should fill his boots
  10. Perhaps he can recommend another Swede like Linus
  11. Something about turning up at another track to watch my team. Can't put finger on it. If I could I'd go to every away match. The only thing that's stopping me is getting time off work. Even after last Fridays humbling experience I'd go back tomorrow at the drop of a hat if we were riding there. I must be a masochist
  12. I used to love the big home wins. As regular away travellers we saw closer meetings away from home, so had the best of both worlds
  13. You're just confusing yourself now. Why not go for a lie down and have a think about it before meals on wheels deliver your tea
  14. The presentation at Rye House is crap and outdated. Craig Saul does a decent enough job, but he can't be in two places at once. Most clubs have a roving mic man and someone in the box with the heat details etc... The sight of Craig rushing down from the refs box to the pits for a quick interview during an enforced break is a common sight. More penny pinching. Can't wear two hats and do the job properly. I doubt the choice of music would entice any more through the gate, so that's a bit of a red herring. Silver has tried to to change the parade by riding on the front of the truck with the team captains, but that may probably be something to do with him not being able to march in time to "Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines" any more due to his advancing years.
  15. Foamfence/foam head... Really need to move on son
  16. Another team change at Kent http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.20783
  17. For those who say that Silver is reluctant to make team changes... http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.20783 That's two in a couple of weeks, so.......
  18. I think the ref may have seen it as Anderson laying it down as he saw Kasper fall, but from my recolection he was a fair way back. Hard to believe that was the same Jake Anderson who struggled so much when he first came over. Much improved. Had a feeling that Plymouth would take the points, but not in that fashion.
  19. I'm in the same boat as you mate. Been going since '85 when introduced to the sport and have been following them home and away ever since.Stopped going to speedway altogether after they closed in '93, losing interest in speedway completely. Only rediscovered the club again by accident in 2000 when taking my kids for a drive in the country, deciding to show them where daddy used to go on Sunday afternoons. No way do I want the club to fold. If Rye House closed it'd be the occasional Berwick away meeting with the other half and Cardiff GP.
