From where I was standing on the third bend you could see the track was different where the sun had been on it. The third and fourth bends (in the shade) seemed to catch a few out early on, Cook included. Seemed to settle down after a while. The track was definitely deeper than recent meetings. Seemed to benefit some more that others The main difference was Glasgow being sharper from the traps and rider replacement not working in the home sides favour. Couldn’t been a lot worse if Cook hadn’t had a below par night. Bandits need a fit Jye Etheridge back pronto. He was virtually unbeatable around Shielfield before his injury. -

He’s bound to lose form at some stage, most riders do. The rest of the side need to step up. -

Glasgow deserved the win. More ruthless from the tapes for most of the night. Weird evening for Cook. Didn’t look comfortable when he missed the gate. The absence of Jye Etheridge is beginning to tell. Only 3 points from Rider replacement was a real difference. The sudden loss of form of Theo Pijper is worrying. Kyle Bickley looked to have bike Issues early on, but looked more on it later in the meeting. -

May need to borrow a couple of your riders to see off this Glasgow side -

Leon Flint still nursing a shoulder injury and looked rusty. Twelve points to pull back is too much of an ask -
What is the nature of BWD injury and what’s the expected return date (if any)?

First meeting of the season was delayed for 15 minutes due to queues at the turnstiles. I expect a huge following from Glasgow as usual. -

Too slick to produce a classic. Decent meeting nonetheless. -

First went to Armadale in 2005. Each year I’ve noticed the new housing getting closer. It was only a matter of time -

Not ideal if running RR for Jye Etheridge. Only Leon Flint, Theo Pijper, Ty Proctor and Kyle Bickley can have a RR ride. Two of them coming back from injury lay offs and another off form. Could be a painful evening for the Bandits. Would’ve been tough enough with a full 1-7 -

Can only see a Glasgow win. Not expecting any of the three injured riders back anytime soon. Guests have been hit and miss for the Bandits. Let’s hope there’s a couple of decent ones this time. -

Add Berwick to those two teams thanks to excellent sponsorship, a supporters club that raises bucket loads of cash and a promotion that cuts its cloth accordingly. -

Cook is one of those riders who opposition fans hate, but home fans love. I’m not sure why he gets such abuse. -

Noticed that Kyles times were pretty quick, heat 1 especially. Hopefully transfers that to the Bandits -

May have been true in recent seasons, but definitely not this year. Sadly had to miss this one. Sounded like a banger! -

Added pressure on young Pijper having been elevated from the reserve berth so soon -
Many riders show promise as juniors, but never seem to progress above Championship reserve level for one reason or another.

We left soon after the ref had returned to the box. Didn’t hear anything else. As for Ty Proctor, my sources say nerve damage, nothing broken -

A heroic point for the Bandits with some shenanigans from the Diamonds with George Congreve having “delayed concussion” after two rides and the referee being called to the pits after heat 15 to investigate Berwick complaints about Paul Starkes silencer.
