Cannot really argue about Robert Lambert coming in to replace riders , last year and this when the whole League is run with guests all season. -

Not quite my words , just saying a lot of riders could not get on with the conditions while some could. Thanks any way. -

Okay the track was very rough but just because some riders handled it better than others is no excuse for a bad track, I accept that the weather has had a lot to do with track conditions but for a grand final leg it does not sit well. I agree with much of what Robert Lambert said in his interview but maybe he should have been a bit more diplomatic. Also some of the early referees decisions were a bit dodgy , it’s all in Ipswich hands now to keep it close at Sheffield . -

Bogged down, its like wading through treacle, suppose this is what goes on in most planning applications.....er apart from when the local council have their way.

Just tough racing by Luke Harrison , Lee Complin likes a wee race now and again, great to see Connor Bailey on the pace and loving it around Ashfield. -

Yes I can I imagine the scenario “ Go out in this suit Bart and we will bung you a few thousand pounds, what’s the worst that can happen you will be four points ahead in the championship going into Torun” -
Doubt it.

Leicester V Workington 9/9/23 (NL) & (KOC)
topaz325 replied to paul84's topic in National League Speedway
Although it was two heavy defeats for Workington , all the Comets riders put in plenty of effort on a night when it was a war of attrition with two meetings on the trot a depleted team and the hot weather . Well done to Leicester they have some talented riders that could do well in the sport . -
Sad news .

Mildenhall V Workington 10/9/23 (NL) 4pm
topaz325 replied to paul84's topic in National League Speedway
Biblical rain that stopped the meeting when the scores were very close , no problem with the call off the track was in an awful mess. Then when a track inspection was being carried out and some remedial work was going on another down pour started which finally ended proceedings The people and staff at Mildenhall were very friendly and kind , it would have been good if the meeting had come to a conclusion with all 15 heats completed even though the Comets team were very much a patched up side then Luke Crang had to pull out with injury. It had been over 40 years since I had last been to West Row so cannot really remember what the stadium looked like but the high metal fence around the dog track does not help viewing , good luck to the team next year hopefully they can keep running in whatever the League set up is. Its a long drive home to Cumbria.
