  1. After last Saturday nights thrilling win over Glasgow Workington will be looking for a more comfortable victory over Scunthorpe if possible. Workington should be at full strength but there may be a doubt over James Sarjeant?
  2. Belle Vue opening night..... TR rule.... Any long drawn out meeting 3 for starters!!
  3. http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/5940/
  4. Knew before we set off the meet was off but had hotel and train tickets , still had a good day out in Glasgow, to be fair the rain did come around 3/3:30, so was probably the right decision , must have been some heavy overnight rain though to cal it off so early.
  5. A great night of fantastic action and close score line, I thought the Comets were in for a good beating half way through but they fought back to win against a very tough aGlasgow side. Many thanks to the travelling Tigers fans who added to a exciting finale.
  6. Weather Forecast looks a lot better now. Just checked again says showers now!!😐
  7. So after the British GP break the Comets are back in action against the high flying Tigers from Glasgow, the Comets will again be without Craig Cook but will have Chris Harris as the guest. I,m not sure who the guest will be for Sarjeant but the Comets will need to be on their toes because the Tigers pose a real threat . The weather forecast at the moment is looking changeable....sunshine and showers all day then!! Hopefully we can get this meet on or we will be riding in November to complete the fixtures.
  8. very funny but it's at times like these when riders need support not so much when things going well
  9. missed Belle Vue meet on Monday due to aggravating a back injury.
  10. Tried to charge me a few years ago, I said I,m not paying, so they let me in. Me too, the Walkabout is a dump.
  11. I don't think ticket prices are the problem its hotel prices
  12. Some gtreat racing , well done PK tonight. Feel sorry for Cookie he looked uncomfortable on the bike.
  13. Trophies looked cheap and Nasty for the top three
  14. Well done to the Workington Comets on the away win.
  15. Im about 10 miles from the track and its been raining all morning, forecast says it will clear at 11:00am but more rain forecast for early evening.... Not looking good?
  16. Workington have over twenty matches to fit in over the next few months some of which have not been arranged yet, they have had some rain offs but even so it seems most years we are playing catch up with other teams in the League. I'm not blaming anyone in particular just the system as a whole, Gps, SWC and rider availabilty does not help.
  17. Well weather permitting this is going to be another good test for the Comets against a Panthers side that sees Simon Lambert return from injury to bolster an already strong team which includes Harris, Ostergaard and Holder!! The Comets will be glad to see the return of Craig Cook after last weeks home defeat by the Sheffield Tigers, so will need to be on their gaurd agaist a team who only got beat by 10pts at Glasgow recently and that was with r/r for Harris.
