  1. Team full of heat leaders if I remember Kenny Carter at reserve
  2. Ag Agree I think this needs a topic on its own Track lighting is there a standard for all tracks. I very much doubt it
  3. A parade is ok if it starts 10minutes before the programmed start time.
  4. He does (PC) have a point regarding the state of the sport though He also says that referees get a life time pass too.
  5. Fans have been saying these words for years now but many promoters seem intent on burying their heads in the sand and blaming fans for not attending to watch a inferior product Do promoters not realise the strength of feeling that many have towards the sport!
  6. Speedway seems to be its own worst enemy and shuns exposure keeping to its own world of tight knit media franchise. To hell with any one or organisation that tries to advertise Speedway!!
  7. Craig will miss Workingtons next away meeting at Glasgow on friday night (guest allowed) and with r/r for Thomas Jorgensen and Matt Williamson out injured its very doubtful that i will be making the trip to Glasgow. I can see the wrongs and rights from both sides, the BSPA by allowing the rider to recover from illness (or not ) and Craigs genuine illness but his teams lose out. http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/6177/cook-forced-out-of-cup
  8. Definitley down at Workington.
  9. Friday 20th October Glasgow v the Workington Comets at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium Tapes Up 7.30pm
  10. First time for the Torun GP for me and really enjoyed the whole weekend. The town itself is very nice , good bars and fine food which is very cheap to, I found the people to be helpful and friendly too. We had some great seats for the GP , sector S, level 1, it did take a little while for the racing to improve but overall a very enjoyable night. Oh the fireworks were good when the eventually got going!
  11. The Comets are up against the Newcastle Diamonds this Saturday night to complete Workingtons home fixtures. Thomas Jorgensen will be out so it will be r/r for him and probabaly Tom Wooley at no7. Weather forecast at this early stage does not look promising.
  12. Said last night on BT will have a look at the dates.
  13. Been through this many times in the past............................ Presentation, prompt start times, better music, twisted rules, politics in the sport, double up/down/backwards/forwards and return, starting rules, gaps in the fixture list then scrabble to get fixtures run in late sept/Oct, riders missing for many reasons including riding in the Latvian junior u21 but only on a Sunday but if its rained off you can have guest rider plus or minus 9.72224 average. I could go on ...., im sure i have missed something else.
  14. Well done Peterborough on the win too much strength in depth for Worky some good races on a cold night, not helped by many re runs and falls. Thought James Sarjent was hard done by the ref when excluded for being the cause of the crash in ht 2, just hard riding and cannot see how the ref could see the incicdent? Good win for Matt over Harris.
  15. The Comets versus the Panthers, should be some good racing with Harris, Ostergaard and guest Charles Wright visting Derwent Park. According to the Speedway Star Workington will be without Thomas Jorgensen, so maybe rider replacement? Just checked the Comets site, it is r/r and Tom Wooley is the guest reserve.
