Time to sack Phil Morris?
IainB replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If they want to know who is playing who, where and when and who is going to win, then maybe they should bid for the WWE Wrestling rights! 🤼♂️ -
Time to sack Phil Morris?
IainB replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'll try not to shoot the messenger but this whole thing stinks! They could have just stuck by the original cut off date and called it They could have extended the cut off date, as they have, and let it all play out No! They chose the worst crooked option, to what? Appease some tin pot broadcaster who have set back the televised spectacle of Speedway 25 years! Promoting? Don't make me laugh. They don't know the meaning of the word, the only way they "promote" these days is by sticking a few posts out on social media... if you're lucky. -

Almost... Leicester have been given the draw that top spot would have got even though they are currently 2nd with 2 matches to ride... for "commercial reasons" 1st play 4th 2nd play 3rd Sheffield are currently top, Leicester 2nd If they can do this... what wouldn't they do? -

Who actually finishes top or who was given top spot by the crooks that run the sport? Who knows? Or cares anymore? -
BZ and the semis (nerd alert!)

It is, I wonder how it compares to others, say a top ten... some home work for you -
Buster's fault Not sure even Buster would stoop so low as to rig the league table!

Time to sack Phil Morris?

I wonder if Phil "Patsy" Morris will be pushed in front of the TV cameras tomorrow night to try and justify the actions BSPL? -
Maybe not in the short term but as usual British Speedway is so shortsighted they fail to see the bigger longer term detrimental effect this has on our sport! Reading some of the posts on here, it's already been the final straw for some and I'm having my faith put to the test at the moment... I'm a bloody mug though and the powers that be know that and we'll continue to limp along like this forever.

Wozniak Elkstraliga average 1.81 2 points in the last 2 GP's Brennan 4 points in the last 2 GP's There is more to Speedway life than Poland

Absolutely worthless, they'd be better off getting their averages down for next season -

What's the point? We've been handed "the prize" anyway. -

What's enjoyable about watching 15 heats of gate and go Speedway where it doesn't matter in any way what the outcome is? The only jeopardy in this is for Lions to come out of it with no injuries, 75-15 with Lions 50 yards adrift in every race would suit me just fine. -
I don't think Leicester or Ippo would have suggested the solution to a non existent problem that has been implemented
-
... and mushy peas Just throwing it out there but Belle Vue do have to make some money back from the SoN
-
Doesn't really matter... there was not one reason on this planet to alter what had been in the rule book since it was published at the beginning of the season. They should not have gone anywhere near this.
-
I agree, it doesn't really matter anyway, somebody dreamt this outcome up and suggested it and I want to know who... because they should be stripped of their promoters licence! Why would Ippo agree to it? Why would anybody agree to it? It's like a game of Cluedo... it was Bates, in the Panarama Room, with a Brown Envelope.
-
Please read what I said, I said commercially. It's highly unlikely that Ippo will qualify for the final with the guests that are available to them, so 2 Leicester/Ippo matches will not attract the same crowd numbers as 2 BV/Sheffield matches, just down to distances as much as anything. Crowds will attend the finals no matter who is in them

Full of British Dr's... probably

Wroclaw GP Saturday 31st August

I tell you what, if I hear Chris Louis telling Kelvin Tatum what and Tatum telling Louis what one more time... well, I tell you what, I'm not telling you what I'll do! -
Like a Fools Panel? The cut off has already been extended by 7 days... for absolutely no reason at all it turns out.
-
It will still be a scam, it doesn't matter about either King's Lynn match now does it? It's all been rigged, I watch sport to see it decided through competition not rigged on a zoom call somewhere. We've all been scammed. Belle Vue vs Sheffield bank Holiday Monday, Sheffield vs Belle Vue Bank Holiday Monday and now the rigged pay off semis
-
Oh god, please no... I've had enough for one day! Can't we do this tomorrow? I just want to enjoy tonight's GP 😁 At least with Belle Vue and Sheffield conspiring to rig the pay offs it'll give Brady a couple of weeks off to "recover"
-
You only have to look at who stands to commercially gain to see that this scam has been cooked up by Sheffield & Belle Vue. Nobody stands to gain commercially riding against Ippo with their current team (sorry Ippo fans), why Ippo and Leicester have been complicit in this beats me, they've hidden behind a cloak of collective responsibility and pushed Phil Morris to the front to act as their messenger puppet. 4 back to back Belle Vue/Sheffield meetings will bring a bigger crowd than 4 back to back Ippo/Sheffield meetings. If they don't want to be riding against the same clubs at the end of the year they should have a bigger league or better still do away with the pay offs altogether.

A draw was drawn... the times they all finished on were highly dubious though as the timing seemed to pack up halfway through quali
