  1. Desperate times call for desperate measures, you know Poole would sign him in a heartbeat if they thought it'd help them win the league... especially with the Havvy connection
  2. You'd have to think it's teams with underperforming reserves, Leicester or Sheffield. Lynn have Rowe and Woj and surely you wouldn't replace either of those
  3. Exactly the same reasons he should have come to Leicester to get some PL experience, Stewart Dickson would have taken good care of him, unlimited track time and also a superb place ()
  4. It'd be a chance no doubt... but I've seen many successful comebacks from talented riders down the years... any return would have to be spun to the media and fans though. If I were in Redcar's position, I'd be very tempted. I saw him develop at Coventry under the guidance of Havvy, you'd go down to the pits and even though Havvy was "team" manager he'd invariably be with Garrity. It all seemed to fall apart when Garrity left Cov. Don't know whether Havvy would mentor him again?
  5. Poole are still the team to beat though, so they're more like the Man City of Speedway. Worky are more the Man Utd trying to rekindle former glories
  6. The kid's got talent... I wonder why he wasn't advised to go to Poole?
  7. Could bring him in Hanibal Lecter style in a straight jacket on a trolley
  8. Thanks... that wasn't hard was it. Keep up the good work
  9. Now, I know you don't come across many people up in that part of the world, you're probably more used to communicating with sheep or cows or something... but I generally find it easier to be civil and polite with people, try it sometime, you'll be amazed at the results!
  10. Thanks, I meant Premier League over here though. I thought Boughen made a good point about the Poles coming over here too learn their trade so what's the rush to go over there.
  11. Comets fan proving once again to be the rudest set in Speedway
  12. Not only was it a poor decision to exclude Kileen it should also have been re-run, how the ref could call it with 1 lap to go when the previous 3 had seen the lead change hands numerous times is beyond comprehension. Terrible refereeing! Great meeting to watch and a real captains ride from Cook to seal the points in the last race. Why Zischke hasn't been snapped up by a PL club is a bit of a mystery
  13. Should have gone for Garrity and got him back under Havvy's wing Averaged 7.32 back in 2017
  14. Agreed, it was a bit of a dammed if you do dammed if you don't choice though, if Mountain had been in invincible form it would have been a no brainer to pick him, or a reserve with last heat decider experience. Surely he should have picked Lidsey, he's a pretty established rider now with experience of pressure on the world stage... of course if he'd trailed in last everybody would say he should have picked Mountain. ... and Lidsey is Australian, Lemo always picks the Aussie. It's not the first time Lemo has made a questionable decision and won't be the last
  15. Surprised, not surprised, Lemo didn't go for Lidsey in 15. Surely you've got to put your big hitters in the crunch races.
  16. He got back in his start position literally as the clock hit zero... if the ref had been in a bad mood he could have easily gone
  17. 02.2.12 Start Marshal d) they must bring the rider to the start area in an orderly manner, determined by their gate position with the inside being first, to the correct position, which will ensure the front tyre is within 75mm of the tapes, checking that the ignition cut-out lanyard is correctly attached 012.1.3 2 Minute Time Allowance A countdown clock either controlled directly by the Referee or under the instruction of the Referee must be used. Riders must, at the expiry of this time allowance, be at the starting gate ready to start. Should any of the riders not be ready to start, they shall be disqualified from the heat. The rules seem a bit contradictory and could be open to abuse. The rider in gate 1 could stick to the latter rule and pull up to the gate with 1 second to go, leaving the riders in gates 2, 3 and 4 high and dry. Surely rule 012.1.3 2 makes 02.2.12 d obsolete
  18. Do riders still have to obey the start marshal with the introduction of the 2 minute clock? Woffy clearly wanted more time to faff about with his start position when he was off 15 last night but the marshal had already called the rest of the riders up to the line with there still being well over a minute left on the clock.
  19. How's he been doing in Poland, do you know?
