  1. I'm sorry but how can it be right that a rider finishing 3rd after 20 races with 11 points can not only lose out to a lower points scorer in LCQ1... but to rub salt into the wounds also LCQ2... what a Mickey Mouse sport this has become
  2. Fred having his annual stinker... which is why he'll never be the best rider to not win a World Championship!
  3. But it will be affordable cream that is delivered when you want it to be delivered to taste its best to attract lots of, erm, cream drinkers... I'll stop now 🤔😁
  4. Yes, but... with the cost of living £20 is the new £10
  5. He's 100% the better option if you want your team member to turn up and ride for your club on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday
  6. Any organisation that allows you to have a "Funtime Bounce" air fence to gain a Homologation Certificate for a circuit licence can not be taken seriously 😂
  7. You only have to look at the names that have been interested enough in Speedway to buy all the kit and kaboodle to ride at NDL/CL reserve level over the last 10 years but have subsequently quit due to lack of opportunity because clubs want ready made riders from abroad to see that the sport in this country could be sustainable if only the people running the sport would give home grown riders a decent chance. Even now were importing loads of young Aussies, who are really just here to concentrate on starting a career in Poland. To do away with anybody not committed to British Speedway is going to take a period of adjustment but look how quickly the CL has recovered since its drastic weakening a few seasons back, a lot of fans were up in arms when this happened but now it's probably one of the most competitive leagues in Europe.
  8. The fact that the BSPL/SCB are using a registered charity in their petty battle with NORA tells you everything you need to know about the people involved at the top of our sport and they should be nowhere near any decision making. If I were involved in the SRBF I'd be issuing a statement demanding that point 3 be removed from the SCB statement. And would be distancing the charity from such a corrupt organisation as the SCB.

  10. In light of the SCB warning to NORA riders below, who are the SCB to dictate to the SRBF who does and does not get funds!?! When the SRBF are giving out funds to tracks to provide them with the starting gate tower protectors and even paid for Ben Barker's hotel accomodation when his kid was in hospital having treatment to suggest that NORA riders would not be "entitled" to funds or benefits seems to be an overstep of their authority, surely it's down to the SRBF trustees and not the SCB, somebody seems to have ideas above their station and should not be meddling in SRBF affairs, absolutely disgusting! RIDERS NOTICE Competing at events held on non SCB Homologated (licenced) Tracks and / or events for which an SCB Event Permit has not been issued. The SCB wishes to bring the following to the attention of all riders holding an SCB Riders Registration. 1. Personal Accident Insurance. Your British Speedway Insurance cover is NOT valid at non SCB Permitted events and / or on non SCB Homologated tracks. Riders are strongly advised to check the level of Personal Accident Cover provided by the organiser. Additionally, riders should consider taking out an additional Personal Accident Insurance policy. 2. Injury at a non SCB Permitted Event and / or on a non SCB Homologated Track. In the event of rider who holds an SCB Riders Registration sustaining any injury at either a non SCB Permitted Event and / or at a non SCB Homologated track, a ‘Fit to Return’ letter from a their doctor / consultant must be submitted to the SCB prior to resuming racing at an SCB Permitted event on an SCB Homologated track. 3. Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund. In the event of any injury sustained at a non SCB Permitted Event and / or on a non SCB Homologated track, with the exception of whilst competing for ‘Team GB’ anywhere in the world, you will not be entitled to any funds or other benefits from the SRBF. 4. BSPL Riders Agreement. Riders who have a BSPL Rider Agreement with a BSPL Promoter / Club must seek permission from their promoter / club prior to competing in non SCB Permitted Events and / or on non SCB Homologated tracks. An SCB Event Permit is automatically issued for any meeting listed on the BSPL Official Fixture List. Training and Amateur Event Permits, either Seasonal or One Event, are available from the SCB upon request.

  12. When I was there earlier in the season Godfrey was on the mic and said something to the effect of thanking his commercial manager because he doesn't have a clue regarding such things.
  13. Apart from the trailer sign plonked on the roundabout on race nights what other promotional activities are happening at Scunthorpe? Genuine question.
  14. I'd suggest that there should be some kind of official policy as to what to do in such events that happen quite regularly.
  15. Exactly, which is why he should have been the first name on the Leicester team sheet this season but it sounds like we were maybe dithering around and he decided to accept a concrete offer from Lynn. We ended up with Craig Cook!!!!
  16. I said that last season but he decided to bugger off to your lot and drop his average by half a point 🤷‍♂️
  17. Kudos to Leicester who interviewed Andy Grahame, Nigel Tolley, Laurance Rogers and after the match the whole of the Birmingham team and management for those who stayed behind, even though there wasn't much said by the riders that wasn't about themselves, most of these riders seem to be so out of touch with the club and fans they ride for, sometimes it seems as though it would be better if they kept their helmets on and we could just live with the illusion that they actually care about the club they ride for. Not so much kudos to Mr Zagar though, while a bit of language doesn't particularly bother me, effing & jeffing over the PA to the crowd is not big, clever or particularly that funny. After the Allen/Wright fine I fully expect Mr Zagar to be receiving a similar fine for breach of SCB Reg 017.2 h) The use of any accessible form of media to propagate foul, abusive or offensive language, profane activity or fraudulent comments against any rider, official or member of the SCB or deemed to bring the ACU, SCB or BSP LTD into disrepute.
  18. Brummies have been bloody good value at Leicester this season... more so than at their own (former) place
  19. Yes but the club nurse called that one off in the end if I remember correctly 😂
  20. I'm not questioning the efforts of the track staff, 100% kudos for their effort. Fans should not be admitted entry to the stadium until the match is declared as going ahead... this kind of thing does the sport no favours at all... just another cut to die by. Called off by the SCB, who have zero financial investment in the sport, just choosing who and when to apply their tin pot rules to.
  21. I'm afraid if you're charging fans £25 to get into the stadium (not to mention £3 parking & £4 for a prog) and there's no further rain there is no excuse for not running the meeting!
  22. Doing the SRBF collection before the match? After a heavy rain shower earlier... 🤔. Do I detect an incoming shambles?
