  1. Beg your pardon, Col, you're still concussed perhaps, but YOU'VE alleged what happened took place, and being a Bees fan and notorious Pirates-slagger-offer your statement is obviously open to question. I think stansolo has worded it correctly.
  2. I had no idea they had Start Tarts in NL racing! Might have to pencil in a couple of third tier meetings next trip - can't wait to see them National League Knockers!! Absolutely disgusted that this could happen in our sport. I fully endorse your sentiments, Col. (with the obvious exception of the mis-placed apostrophe)
  3. Meanwhile Downunder it'll be back on Foxtel/Austar at 0130 hrs Darwin time channels 204HD or 502; failing that you can always try http://www.events.servercorporation.com/ - it'll cost you $10.
  4. Should be a good GP with a fair few riders finding form over the weekend: AJ, Hancock, Holta, Holder, Hampel, Crumpy, Bjerre, Zetterstrom, Woffinden and Andersen all had good returns while Lindgren and Harris were below par. Will Tomasz get the half-dozen or so points he needs to secure his well-deserved Championship? Only time will tell, but you'd have to be game to bet against him. Good to see someone's started a thread about watching this GP on the Internet, etc - should spare this thread from pages of Red Button-related posts.
  5. From Autoweek: Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup riders selected By JAKE LINGEMAN There will be 25 riders in the field for the 2011 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. Fourteen riders and five alternates were chosen for the 2011 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. The official selection event was held over three days at Monteblanco in southern Spain. The Rookies Cup is a 10-race feeder series for 12- to 16-year-old motorcycle riders. All the riders use KTM RC125 bikes. The ultimate goal is a shot at MotoGP, the top-tier motorcycle championship in the world. Selected races in the Rookies Cup season are held in conjunction with MotoGP events. Riders from 15 different countries were chosen for the series, including Joe Roberts, the only American in the group. Fifty riders began the event. On the first two days in Spain, competitors practiced on a short-track setup to get a feel for the circuit and the machine. The best 47 returned for the day-three competition on the full-length track. A few kids hit the pavement despite great weather for the event, but none were seriously injured. The 14 riders chosen will join the 11 competitors from this year's field, making for a total of 25 riders for 2011. Invited riders: Willi Albert (GER); Lorenzo Baldassarri (ITA); Scott Deroue (NED); Max Enderlein (GER); Aaron Espana (ESP); Amirul Hafiq (MYS); Andrea Migno (ITA); Joakim Niemi (FIN); Javier Orellana (GBR); Ivo Paixao (POR); Joe Roberts (USA); Kyle Ryde (GBR); Lukas Trautmann (AUT); Stefano Valtulini (ITA). Best of luck to all involved, and a big 'WELL DONE' to Arthur, Kyle, Matthew, ,James, Javier & Joe!
  6. G'day Zuzel, an' howthaheckareya? I'm an Aussie, by the way, with a fluid grasp of the Pomgolian language as she should be spoke. One of the main problems you've got is that yee've bin talkin' tae George.M. who hails frae Glasgae an' speaks fluent Weegie, i.e. he disnae unnerstan' Sassennach either!. As yet I've been unable to unearth a Polska-Weegie Dictionary or Translation Engine, so I reckon you're stuffed. Incidentally I googled your name and got 'Cinders'. Is that short for Cinderella? Have you got any sisters, ugly or otherwise? Anyhow, I'll be in Polska next year for SWC if you fancy going to the ball?
  7. ...........who being the only Aussie in the team, is irreplacable! NL rules different again, eh?
  8. Updates problem is all across Proboards. Geez Freddie Kummagutza! Up & OK.
  9. Mighty HORNETS in with a big show here - any news on Tony Atkin? If he's not riding, any ideas on a guest?
  10. Its true. Modest too. Its the BRITISH Speedway Forum, Mothorsun - these Poms have gotta whinge about something, and they don't care where they do it, either. If you think this one's bad you should read some of the Elite League threads. Should be a great meeting anyhow, whether its tonight or tomorrow morning. Go OZ!
  11. Great Team performance from the Mighty HORNETS - well done to all concerned - hope Tony's OK.
  12. Haven't heard 'Boo' from WA for a while. Queensland's the go in November with the Darren & Sharon Boocock Scholarship tour. In the meantime, word of a commemorative Dinner for Leigh Adams in Mildura on Tuesday 4th January, the night before his farewell bash/meeting; more news as it becomes available.
  13. I was at Tony's Cheerio at Poole a few years back watching Leigh go round in his honour; obviously Tony's returning the complement. Maybe Leigh'll get Jason Crump to do his Tony Rickardsson imitation again!
  14. For Aussies wanting to watch this one Downunder you'd better have FUEL TV on your cable subscription, Channel 516 on AUSTAR, otherwise you can always go to http://www.events.servercorporation.com/ on the web. Darwin time for the show is 0230 hrs. Here's hoping Crumpy gets a bit closer to Tomasz, while Chris Holder's due to get his mojo back after recharging his batteries on the Costa Del Fortune for a coupla daze!
  15. Life is too short to take anything seriously, June. This coming Aussie season I'll be attending ten meetings over 24 days in six different cities and towns in four different states, covering over 20,000 km, involving about 9 flights and a few train or bus rides, plus several nights' accomodation at a variety of pubs & motels and peoples' floors ( Thanxx Trackman!). Unlike some on here I won't be whingeing about the cost to watch my favourite sport and see my heroes in action. I don't wanna die with the most toys in my toybox, or wondering why I never saw a particular rider or meeting because it cost too much - gotta keep the national economy going! (If I had the bucks I'd be on the plane to Polska for the final GP of the season, if only to see Crumpy go back-to-back.) Of course I'll be looking forward to the plethora of little things that make up a good trip - new tracks to visit; new people to meet; catching up with ol' mates; gastronomic delights such as the Steak Sangers at Mildura and the Hot Dogs at Gillman, plus the odd side trip to a couple of houses of ill-repute for a therapeutic massage - with a happy ending! Hopefully a couple of Marcus' Poms make it through to the Australian Solos Championships; even if they do take the place of a couple of young Aussies they'll be there because they're good enough, and not because of some outmoded quota system or because some nitpicker's got a chip on their shoulder. PS I'm still looking for Sponsorship - $10 gets you the privilege of buying me a coupla beers; $100 should help me score something to ensure I don't miss a single moment of the trip (snoooooooooooooooooooort!) and $1,000 should ensure me the night of my dreams with a coupla nubiles in a posh Sydney Root-a-rama/Gentleman's Establishment. Dig Deep - you know it makes absolutely no sense at all!
