  1. Its a mouth-watering prospect, The Hornets v the Hitmen - easily the two best-balanced teams in the league. With mates involved with both teams I'm torn. but I'd have to go for my home-town boys. I was thinking of going to see Buxton next year but geez they're a hard track to access via public transport.
  2. One person has mentioned Milldenhall closing down as the reason for Tim Webster losing his place rather than because of an Aussie. Anyway, I hope the Hornets maintain as strong as possible to defeat Dudley! G'day mate, hope you're well? I thought you'd be a Dudley fan, seeing as they're on your doorstep? See you next year, hopefully, unless my new diet works too well and I vanish down the plughole. Come on montie, you can do better than that, can't you?
  3. Scribbler me dear, I DID re-read the thread when Bennyboy posted his piffle, just to make sure I was correct before posting. Would you like to put forward any proof of your rule-breaking allegations, or will you just take the easy way out and change the subject - again? As for me being anti-anything, I'd prefer to think my posts were pro-Speedway, but I'm quite happy for people to read whatever they want in them - its a free world after all, and the less petty, self-serving rules the better. Definitely anti-little englander, by the way; poor souls can't even get their figures right. Pop Quiz time - how many Aussies are riding in the National League? Here's a hint - you can count them on the fingers of one hand.
  4. I suggest you re-read the thread then, Ben, if you can't see the scribbled allegations from the usual suspects.
  5. His hero is a certain professor, and he's been following the dream like Casey Stoner. Have to give it a go or you'll never, never know. As for his size, or tha lack of, I swear I saw him pass Justin Sedgman at Gillman one year on 125's under Justin's leg. A Prodigious Talent. P.S. Don't forget he came back to defend his under-16 title at Tamworth last season but was beaten in the final by Brady Kurtz.
  6. I had to check me pulse as well - occasionally he gets things right, and much as it pains me to say it he was spot on there! (Just going out to the backyard to hang meself from the Mango Tree - I may be some time.)
  7. Check with philmac, parsloes; he'd know more than anyone else.
  8. Love your work, Phil! Not as quick as you are to slag off the Newport Promotion every chance you get.
  9. Must be losing it - I totally agree with your post, Tsunami! I see sillybilly took a whole nine minutes after the first announcement of the meeting being off to whack in a post slagging off the management - is this a record?
  10. Not as quickly as Db or Dailager drains a pint!
  11. It does look extremely moist over the green green grass of home: can't see too many complaints about the dust! Any local knowledge? Dietbowers, have a quick look out the pub window, mate!
  12. I'll just second that Alan; Mateusz, we all owe you a beer!
  13. The problem for most Europeans is learning how to walk around upside-down. (Took me AGES!)
  14. Are you alleging that Newport (or any other promotion, for that matter) have been tracking an illegal rider? 'Put up or shut up' springs to mind.
  15. The media equipment would be locally-sourced but the bikes could come out by boat anytime as the European season finishes in November; they'd be flown across the Tasman and then back to Europe in time for the reopening. MA already organises a container each year for the equipment of ex-pats who compete in the Australian Championships.
  16. No, as far as I know his company still produces a Rugby League show for FOX Sports. He's just started as GM for Parramatta Raceway and he's as innovative as ever - last weekend he promoted a Motocross event there which attracted amongst others Wayne Gardner's sons Remy and Luca. The new TPCR Website - http://www.parramattacityraceway.com.au/ - is a model that could be taken up around the world, another example of his professional attitude to the sport. He's been pushing for I don't know how long for a united approach to Solos, but the Tyranny of Distance hasn't helped things as usual, and budding promotors are wary considering the financial bath taken by Dave Lander after the last GP. He's getting a freebie to be the Commentator at Leigh's Cheerio bash in January; doubtless we'll say 'G'day' then.
  17. The plan was to have the GPs over two consecutive weekends in March. Maybe not next year now but I'm sure IMG are planning for the future, especially now David Tapp is GM of Parramatta, an ideal venue for a big meeting. Problem seems to be who's gonna pay for all the FIM freeloaders, same as last time.
  18. Both Nick and Robert are riding on British passports, as YOU should well know. PS Did you like the Bread Roll joke?
  19. ....as long as they don't change the SWC dates - I've already booked!! Don't drink all the Lech, Mateusz, leave some for me!
  20. Trouble is, Phil, you stuck it on here and now they crawl out of the woodwork, taking conjecture as fact and over-exaggerating everything from there onwards. Maybe in hindsight it was a question that should have been asked in the Clubhouse/bar after a match; that way if it happened there it would stay there. Glad you liked the bread roll joke: its a ripper!!
  21. With all due respect, Phil, that's Bulldust, mate. You've been on here long enough to know that you don't have to do much to stir up the 'Little Englanders' who infest this forum.
  22. Ta for that Kiwi, haven't heard 'Boo' since Easter over here.
  23. Good to see Davey Watt getting a guernsey again; in as replacement for Emil. Go OZ!!
  24. Won't be the first time I've been wrong, well done THJ. Holta on his home track did well, series starting to get tasty. From Updates it sounds like another good meeting with wins from all gates - I can't wait for the replay down here (1530hrs Darwin Time).
