  1. Wow--What a good crowd. Ullevi would have loved to have had that many last week. What a great stadium as well
  2. Think you might find that a previous GP at Ullevi was started then abandoned as the track was not raceable. I think the Swedes have never forgotten this and that is why the attendances are so dire at Goteburg. I think that will be the last GP ever held there
  3. Paul I went to the Ullevi GP in 2008/9 and the weather was glorious . In fact the weather was far better in Sweden than is was when we landed back in England both times. They were both in May
  4. No problem with tickets. just turn up. By betting is that it will be about a quarter to a third full. 2008 they sold 16,000 tickets up to Friday night. Although the weather was glorious they only got another 1,000 on the match day. The trouble is Goteburg is not a speedway city, although it is a terrific place.
  5. I think you might find there is slightly more to do and see within 5 miles of the Wembley stadium than there ever will be at Cardiff. Plus Ealing Road Wembley the shops are open until midnight. Wembley Park station is across the road from the stadium ,it cannot get much handier than that.
  6. As Gothenberg has never made a profit and the attendances have fallen every year since it's return there surely this one will be for the chop
  7. At the moment I am watching Premier Channel on Sky and I have not paid any subscription charges to Premier. So is tonight's meeting just a freebie to get you interested. Well done Greg
  8. A rather worrying thing about yesterdays Grand Prix were the empty spaces in the crowd. It looked no more than three quarters full. Are the tickets too dear or is it costing to much to travel to them.. Does not look too good for the next GP at Ullevi where the attendances have dropped every year since they were re-introduced there. If so there could be less than 10,000 in a stadium that can hold 40,000. If you cannot get a full house in Poland will the GP'S survive.
  9. Keep your money in your pocket. On what grounds could Hampel be world champion. A very fast starter ,if not one of the fastest of the GP riders but how many times does he ever come from the back.
  10. Quite right there should be noise restrictions on Speedway bikes at Mildenhall Stadium, Why can they not keep the noise levels down like the American jet do just down the road
  11. If you want to take the worry out of everything then go by Travel Club. Then if you do your own booking of hotels and Flights on the internet you can go to two Grand Prix's for the same cost.
  12. Does that also include Vegetarian Haggis?
  13. Wimbledon could hold about 42,000(Probable down to 6.000 maximum today) and West Ham,s Custom House 60.000. White City was constructed to hold 68,000 seated or as many as 130,000 standing
  14. Surely the logical thing to do is make the draw at the previous Grand Prix
  15. Andreas Jonsson won the Grand Prix on Saturday yet only scored 4 points from his first three rides,.Is this the lowest winner of a GP after three rides
  16. Tomasz Gollob is the the Pits so it looks like he will be riding. Track looks very slick
  17. That's dearer than Cardiff. Not the interest now for the non Poles as there is nothing to race for, except places
  18. If you want to watch it live it's easily available on the internet
  19. They have just taken the US Tennis off to put a football match on with Andorra. Supposed to have carried on on the red button but I cannot find it. Haven't they got enough football on with 3 live matches on as well as soccer update.Don't they realise not everbody wants to watch football?
  20. Why did no teams use Jokers, are are they not allowed in under 21 but are for seniors. Strange
  21. Why did Sweden not use Linus Sundstrom on a Tactical ride in Heat 10. Don't they want to win
  22. So perhaps young Orion you can tell me who has been the most consistent riders in British and Polish speedway in the last ten years than. When was Leigh Adams not in the top three averages in GB then. When was Tomasaz Gollob not the top rider in Polish Leagues. Perhaps you would care to name the world champions in F1 without winning "antyhink" then . Number One is not world champion . In golf many numbers ones have been that for less than a month, or in one case one week. There is a world of difference between World Champion and being number one. With the amount of replies you make on this forum this year, you could be number one but not world champion, almost certainly many regard you as a number two
