  1. Got it on video tape from being on sky, but got to buy the DVD as well. Cheers for the link.
  2. Yeah, he's 6th, 33 points behind Nicki at number 1. He's only 3 behind bomber. I'm not a Crump fan in the least, so tbh I'm not too bothered about the fact that he isnt riding the best. I prefer to watch him ride in the league tbh, helping the young riders out. Shows a better side of him.
  3. Typical, you should have been nearer to me so we might have managed to catch up. I went to the Queen Vault but you'd already gone. Sorry we didn't manage to meet this time!
  4. Good to see him given another wild card, after his last performance. Hope he keeps it up.
  5. Could barely hear any of it from the top tier anyway. PA system was awful, though I suppose the roof being shut caused some echo-factor. Regardless, only liked the McDougles last song, didnt pay attention to the rest tbh, just say and read me programme. Brenda might have been OK if the PA'd been better, and Ray was OK. Nothing special, but hey. At the end of the day, who really cares?
  6. I think everyone was, judging by the noise levels everytime bomber/scotty/howe came out, for bomber especially. I was so pleased, I didnt even object to the dreaded is this the way to amarillo song playing out when he won, I was too busy jumping up and down.
  7. You prob'ly did. There was a white/red flag in front of me that the girl next to me put up (I say girl, because whilst we chatted etc I didnt ask her name ). I dont think I saw you.. well, I probably did, but didnt have a clue who you were.
  8. I was sitting in Row 1, Tier 6, between bends 3 and 4. Its an amazing view from there, didn't feel as far from track as I thought it'd be for the price of the ticket. Was leaning over the edge for most of it, admittedly, but hey
  9. Well done Bomber!! Was shouting for him all night, dont have much of a voice now, but hey! Girl next to me on one side and dad on the other side were shouting for him as well.. Was jumping up and down when he got through the semi, and when he won.. Well, we were all jumping/dancing with glee. So glad I bought a bomber keyring in the afternoon before we got to the stadium. But he rode so amazingly well, so pleased for him.
  10. Wow-wee. Glad to see its making plenty of money for steadys fund. Only 1 day left.. Lets hope it pushes up at the end like other auctions on ebay.
  11. I just had a look, 4 days and 21 hours left, and its still at £820. Thats gonna raise a heck of a lot for Steady, and be one hell of an experience. Good on Hans for doing that is what I say. I'm impressed. Just wish I had that kinda money.
  12. Haha. I loved Chas N Dave as a kid, wouldnt mind them being the half time entertainment. *is getting excited now*
  13. Not everyone can win. People without talent can still lose out, I mean look at speedway - Leigh Adams has won some GPs, but hes never been World Champion, but that doesnt mean anything, does it? (I think I'm right.. if not, correct me.)
  14. Try Wikipedias article(s) on the Speedway Grand Prix here. It has links to info/results from the GP's from 1995 - current day. Takes you a bit further back, at least.
  15. Noddy first, Eddie second..Brilliant, really pleased for both of them. Especially Noddy after his little tumble on Tuesday, and not being able to ride Wednesday (not that he needed to, with all the rain anyway). I confess I was keeping an eye on the updates on my phone.
  16. At least he seems to be focused, and knows what he wants to achieve, I guess. Bit of a shame he wont try qualifying for next year, but then, he's got plenty of time left to attempt to claim a place in the GP's. Hopefully he'll do well in the U21 tonight, and make it to the final.
  17. Ray Quinn isnt that bad IMO... But then I do like a bit of swing. At least that isnt gonna be pop rubbish, something a bit different.
  18. Yes, it has, the British GP has been held at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff since the 2001 Grand Prix Season. Before that its been at Bradford, Coventry & London.
  19. They should have got Fear Factory, or System of a Down. Would that be rock enough for you? Of course, the legends that would make it immense would be the likes of AC/DC or Iron Maiden.. but then theres not much chance of that nowadays, is there?
  20. Nah, Queen tribute bands often make you think how much better Queen are. Cant even come close to comparing.
  21. So I know who to say 'you were so wrong, mate' to first?
  22. Brenda, okay, fine. Ray Quinn, some nice swing music, yep, I'm fine with that. But the McDougle brothers? Oh god no... I must remember to take my ear plugs.
  23. I think its a good idea in principle, but as you've said, the ref will be the problem. You need a ref that really knows his stuff, and when/where to warn. Overtaking usually isnt the level of 'dangerous riding' that merits a warning - if they did that, they may as well not ride 4 laps, as it'd be pretty much judged from the gate anyway. BUT if they do just do that when someone does a move that shows disregard for another riders safety blatantly, yes, give a warning. I fear that this will just give the refs too much power. Thats where football goes wrong.
  24. That sounds like a pretty awful crash, surprised tbh that they all came out of that with nothing more serious than severe bruising. Of course, I'm very glad to hear it, we've had far too much bad news already. Also, thanks for the update links, never really followed any other league, but someone was talking to me about the Polish league last night so thought I'd have a gander. Some of the line ups looked pretty impressive with my small knowledge of riders.
