  1. Don't think the following will be far away: Lindback Hampel Nicholls Richardson Kasprzak or Lindgren (depending if one is u21 champ) Zagar Andersen/Holta Frankly i'm amazed that people are touting Mark Loram for a place. British speedway would gain exactly zero from him being back in, and he'd struggle too as i also believe his best days are gone.
  2. Is the Cradley picture an early shot of Bruce Penhall 1978?
  3. Looks like a bit of Colin 'Joe' Gooddy detail there Grach
  4. I'll believe ya! Broadie rode for Hackney in 75 after his Stoke spell. Finished at Crayford and Newport in 76 and 77. Now, where's my anorak?
  5. Is it Helge Langli v Wimbledon and Eddie Davidsson v Hackney??
  6. Definitely Crash, World Champ round in 1974 - Leicester i think. Not sure on the Reading number 7 - face mask looks like John Davis, but i'm sure he wouldn't be at 7.
  7. Spot on Brit Pete..fed up with the bloke treating everyone at Swindon as mugs
  8. Not expecting to see his World Cup level of commitment and effort tomorrow night then SS??
  9. You must have made the most of the 70p scoops, as you seem to have totally missed Lee's last to first in heat 6!!
  10. Why have 3 different heat formulae? Wimbledon's track is too small and narrow for such meetings. The Yanks can barely muster a 5 man team, nevermind 7. This also creates a closed shop, just like the GP's.
  11. The problem with making it a team event is that apert from the top 5 nations the other sides will be even less competitive than they are now. I agree with you in principal, but it just wouldn't work in reality. Who's going to watch Poland spank Germany or Sweden v Hungary for example? I do agree that the tournament shouldn't be every year. Bi-annualy or even every four years would add much more prestige to the tournament, and even Tony Rickardsson might try in it then!
  12. I wonder if 'gating tart' Rico's last to first in heat 6 made it's way onto the tele's of Beowulf, Steve Brum, Lupus, Steve Hone, Shazzybird, Shooting Star et al???
  13. TRick was a disgrace last night, it's not the first time he's shown his contempt for the World Cup, his team mates and country. I'm sure there won't be 3 last places flying about in the GP next week?...i'm so glad he doesn't ride for any team i support with his 70% and stuff you lot attitude!
  14. Girls and sport..eh? Two posts of complete drivel....3rd place would not have been brilliant it's cr*p, we're not good enough. And as for the old "can you do better" chesnut
  15. Thought that was the dullest race-off yet, the Thursday is normally the highlight of the tournament, but that was pretty dreary fayre last night with nobody watching it either. I'm even more convinced that GB will struggle tomorrow now as the track didn't produce a great deal of passing.
  16. No sign of a "TRick, man or animal" thread yet though
  17. Doesn't make it right though, in my opinion
  18. No not sniping, just an opinion. The fact it differs from yours isn't a basis for calling me a clown. Maybe they'll teach you that in 'big school' next term?
  19. I've got the Aussies to dip out in Thursday's race off too. I've had a wee tickle on the Poles for the final and a saver on the Danes at a massive 13/2 with Skybet.
  20. Marvyn Cox was 'German' champion, he also wore the German flag in a World Final! This dodgy 'dual nationality' really does make sport look daft, and it's not just speedway either. There have been numerous footballers over the years who have played friendlies or junior levels for one nation and full competitive internationals for another. It's daft, Play/ride for where you or your parents were born and be done with it, although ideally it would be nation of birth only, but that would scupper riders like Mark Loram as Malta haven't got much of a speedway team!
  21. Good to see the World Cup winners Ruud Boy and Iron Man making hay and furthering their quests for yet more glory
