If Bartosz Smarzlik put another six rides like that one he is going to be very hard to beat. -

Congratulation to Archie Freeman on winning the Under-16 NJL Rider Championship at Edinburgh last night. One for the future.

Aaron Summers scored 5pts today riding in Poland where his Polish team Wanda Krakow were defeated 58-32 by Lodz.

So there will be at least one more meeting at Berwick, whether we make the play offs or not.
-
It does seem odd that tracks up and down the Country have been laying idle in one of the warmest summers on record, and now we find the cut off date has been extended once and likely to be extended again.

Theo Pijper has been riding in the fourth round of the Longtrack GP series where he finished seventh. The meeting was won by former Berwick rider Dimitri Berge.

That and the ridiculous ruling on now Friday`s. With so many meetings to run its doubtful Workington will get all their meetings completed by the time of the cut off, when ever that is going to be. -
I know your post is tongue in cheek but your probably not that far from the truth.

Thoroughly enjoyed tonight's meeting, highlight by far was Scott Nicholls who completely deserved his maximum winning races from the gate, from the back and as he proved in Ht9 not afraid to get the elbows out, great racing, great performance. Sadly for Peterborough that is where the good news ends, yes they had their problems with injuries to BWD and Palm Toft but I was disappointed that they didn't provide a stiffer test. For Berwick, very solid throughout with reserves once again proving the difference. Now Berwick have to wait to see how others get on in their remaining meetings if we are to get a play off place. points at Ipswich and/or Peterborough in our remaining fixtures will of course help but IMO we will just fail so tonight will be our last meeting until next season. -
Completely agree, stop the petty arguments and work together for the betterment of Berwick speedway.

Berwick`s reserve are as strong as there is in the league and a large reason why we have been so dominant at home this season. All good on the weather front, enjoy your day. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/0/2655819 -

Bell end !!!! what a little charmer you are. Its a perfectly reasonable question to ask. Gino Manzares started the season on a 5-43 average which should've made him a trump card at reserve for Scunthorpe. That average has tumbled by over a full point to date and he has hardly been the trump card at reserve Scunthorpe were hoping for. Very welcome points for Berwick last night, oh if it could've been a full victory. We still have a play off place while by the looks of things Scunthorpe dropping points last night all but ended their play off hopes. -

Does seem strange that we haven't had a junior meeting, especially as the Berwick Academy can clink the NJL title with a victory against Peterborough. Even some kind of team event would be well supported IMO. For Berwick to keep hold of their play off place they need to win away from home in at least one of their three remaining meetings, unlikely I think but time will tell, starting at Scunthorpe tonight.

Sad sad news thoughts and condolences to all family and friends.

Not having a go at any rider, it was another poster who claimed Ricky`s attitude was if he didn't make the gate that was that, Ricky round Berwick should be better than that and able to pass or at least mount a challenge as he is one of the leagues best riders round Shielfield. As for gate and go around Berwick, that isn't a new problem. -

That is probably the one thing that really annoys me, when riders literally give up before the end of the race, I can except break downs, falls etc but a rider giving up is not acceptable. -

Hardly a great advert for your No1 though is it, didn't make the gate that was that. -
Looks like the meeting was awarded as Rawicz turned up with only three Polish riders and not four Polish riders as in their rules, they then ran a training meeting that Bach didnt take part in. https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/771086/nie-bedzie-meczu-w-bydgoszczy-sedzia-przyznal-walkower-druznynie-polonii

Agree regarding gate and go, especially with a track the size and shape of Shielfield but I thought there was more actual racing last night than in recent weeks where some of the races looked not much more than demonstration races. Last night the track did look more grippy than of late and gave the riders a chance to race. Good win for Berwick, far stronger in reserve positions. For Edinburgh Wells not being quite up to his normal high standard round Berwick and Riss having two poor opening rides went along way to their down fall especially Ht6 where the Monarchs tactical move back fired on them. Quite what Edinburgh see in Max Clegg is beyond me, it seems his racing career is stuck in reverse at the minute at Championship level anyway. I`d love to know what Scott Courtney said about the new STARRS in interview during the Ben Fund collection but the PS system, in the main stand at least is awful,. Maybe the club could put an interview either on the official site or on their Youtube channel.
