Prague GP, Saturday June 15th 2019
screm replied to STEPHEN 333's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
All booked for Prague yet again, flying out of Edinburgh staying at Pyramida. A couple of weeks ago I got a PM from someone asking about booking into the Pyramida, I am sorry but I have deleted your PM by mistake but you should now be able to book there if you still wish to. -
Fixture shambles - An annual event
screm replied to Hawk127's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I blame all that rain we had in the summer, caused mo end of chaos. If only we had a lovely dry summer, there would be no need for a deadline extension and teams racing meetings virtually night after night. -
Nothing brings in sponsorship than success and trophies and Workington have that this season, I hope we see them race next season though it does show the state the speedway has come to that arguably the best team may not be there to defend their title.
-
Congratulations to all at Workington Speedway, fair to say they have had their tough times but this season could be their best every, KOC winners, with possible play off and Shield winners in the next few days.

Lakeside V Peterbrough Play Off Semi Final 14-10-18
screm replied to Chris116's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Reading updates on Twitter, given the circumstances with the lighting, this could be a new low for speedway. -
Everyone who attends Berwick meetings is a celebrity, at least in their own minds anyway.

Dont worry he has, bit like when he aimed for Newcastle and only hit Durham. -

I believe Workington will release the re-scheduled dates in the next couple of hours. -

Doyle wants Somerset return but......
screm replied to ReadingRacer2017's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
According to another forum numpty Doyle is nailed on going to Kings Lynn next season in a swap deal plus money for Robert Lambert, now he is going back to Somerset or going to Leicester. Thing is if there`s a major rule change for next season that could see the back of Doyle racing for anyone over here. -

Lakeside V Peterbrough Play Off Semi Final 14-10-18
screm replied to Chris116's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Looks like Lakeside posted on their Twitter page just after 2pm that this meeting was off, that is of no conciliation to those who went thinking it was still on. One day speedway will learn that running play off, KOC, high profile meetings in the middle of October leaves you open to the weather, sadly that day wont be today. -

Lambert to Robins, Doyle to Stars
screm replied to ZagarRacing's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Finally a bit of sense, unless there is a huge change I cant see Robert Lambert racing here next season, I mean why would he. -
Leon being at Berwick would be great for Berwick, what Leon needs to decide is would being at Berwick be good for Leon. Being the local lad racing for the local team sometimes doesnt work out.

Great stuff, hope to see you there. As racer and royals be aware about pick pockets though I have been there a few times now and never had any problems, just be sensible don`t have your phone or wallet sticking out your back pockets things like that. Seems the hot spots are the narrow streets around the old town leading to Wenceslas Square. As advised the old town is lovely as is the palace, don`t let the walk up the hill put you off, once there the views of Prague are lovely. -

Always buy your ticket, I use the Speedway GP site. Getting from airport to city is very easy with public transport readily available. Personally I book a car through the airport transfers site, yes its more expensive but they delivery you to your hotel door so if you are going for the first time it might be an idea to look at that, they will also do the returm trip which you can book on their site, dont use private taxis as they will rip you off, if you are using the taxis use the official ones and get your price before your journey. Travelling around Prague could not be cheaper or easier be it tram, which I use, metro or bus, you will need a ticket which your hotel will almost certainly sell or you can get them in many of the tobacco shops. Once on validate your ticket using the machines. For the last few years I have stayed at the Pyramida Hotel, very handy for the city as the tram stop is right outside and very handy for Marketa as its only half a dozen stops up to Marketa, use tram 22 Bila Hora. Enjoy your trip -
Yes I made the team. Better get practicing I think as I have work cut out supporting our No1

Unless you move GP practice you would have to hold any extra meetings on Thursday's

I will don't worry, the way you describe the Prague SGP you could quite easily say about every SGP as its hard to put forward any GP that is great from the get go. -

Delighted to see Prague back in the SGP calendar and I will be there next June which will be six years in a row. As for the racing I think Thomas Topinka is head of track operations at the Marketa now and since taking over in General the racing has been much improved. -
So Birningham wont make the play offs.

Great win for Tai last night and he now has to finish the job off in Torun, which he done before of course. To much of an ask IMO for Smarzlik to pull those points back. Looks like a bit of a scrap for the eighth place with Sayfutdinov, Laguta and possibly Zagar all within reach of the injured Dudek, one things for sure if Dudek was to drop out of the top eight that would take care of one of the wild card picks for next year. Best news of all however is that it appears Craig Cook has not suffered any broken bones from last nights crash and is intent on riding tomorrow at Belle Vue.
