Berwick v Edinburgh 11/08/2018 Championship @7pm
screm replied to screm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Berwick were good that night no doubt about that but were help by a poor Glasgow side on the night, I cant see Edinburgh so poor. -
Great idea, if he`s not to bust maybe we can get the World Champ to do the draw.

Boxall given 2 year ban refusing drug test
screm replied to dazzafl's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Boxall`s career has been on a steady decline for a season or two now, surely there is no team left desperate enough to sign him now, especially now. -

It would seem that the Workington promotion are about to be rewarded with another low crowd for this fixture, through no fault of their own. You wonder just how long they can go on like that. -
The continuing decline of Speedway

Sums it up perfectly though I don`t think that is a good thing. -

And likely to turn off supporters who might just be willing to donate, one day lessons will be learned, but that day wont be today.
-
Either way the important thing is to get money in, whether that be a sense of duty or a tax break, after all on the face of it Berwick Speedway is a relatively small business so any money is of great benefit. I wish the club the best in getting the donations needed though speedway in general is failing, whether donations from customers can save it for the long term remains to be seen.

While I take your point about clubs being propped up by multi billion pound tv money, the reason for this investment is the basic product ie Premier League, is the most exciting and marketable football league there is which I think is the point that has been made already that if you get your basic product right, is this cases speedway on a Saturday night, then investment should with a bit of luck follow either by sponsorship and/or people coming through the gate.
-
You are suggesting that those who don't donate aren't proper supporters.
-
Riders have poor nights on purpose, manipulating their average to keep their job safe and earn reasonable money in doing so.
-
Don`t worry you`ll get your win, and probably quite a comfortable one at that.
-
You don`t honestly believe that do you.

No breaks, but his ankle is swollen which means he has to rest this week.

The second day for any rain offs are in the rules so on the face of things all is above board, but the meeting wasn't rained off so IMO there is no reason why Vissing couldn't make it to Newcastle tonight, but like has already been posted Vissing has form and did the same thing to Berwick last season, thankfully Berwick had the good sense to get rid of him very soon after.

Jason Doyle making his return to the track in Poland today, so he should make his return for Somerset this Wednesday.
