  1. Seems strange that Vissing misses this meeting, Rene Bach rode in the same meeting as Vissing last night yet seems to have made it to Workington for their meeting with Scunthorpe.
  2. Martin Dugard has posted on Twitter that his farther passed away this morning. Condolences to all family, friends and everyone at Eastbourne speedway.
  3. Not a very deserving champion as IMO he shouldn't have been in the re-run of the final in the first place. Spoiled a very good meeting.
  4. Janowski was on his way out after a couple of rides, he could yet win this.
  5. Lambert was never in the team for today and his absence was explained and arranged a time ago.
  6. I know this is going slightly off thread threat but it occurs to me the here we have the Polish Final, also tonight we have the Danish Final, Swedish Final and even the Finnish Final tomorrow, would this not have been a good weekend to stage the British Final or is that to much sensible thinking.
  7. Could be wrong but I thought they were taken alternate years.
  8. Deary me you take defeat badly, I applaud those who have taken over Team GB for at least doing this meeting in the first place, hopefully it will be something that will happen on a regular bases both here and abroad. I don`t see how going to one league would make this team any better, quite the opposite in fact.
  9. Update on Nathan Greaves http://www.wolverhamptonwolves.co/news.php?extend.3004
  10. I think Jon Cook made some kind of a statement during last nights meeting, anything interesting ?.
  11. Talk about the highs and lows of speedway, confidence must've been high going into last nights meeting especially after handing out a pasting to Sheffield the night before. Maybe not a win but I doubt many in the Scunthorpe side of the pit would think they were about to get a pasting of their own.
  12. You wonder just how much persuading that Tungate took to forgo the Glasgow meeting to go to his Polish clubs practice, would he put several decent pay days a risk to ride in one international. For me Tungate should be at Glasgow tomorrow but it goes to show just what hold Poland has on riders these days.
  13. Maybe for differing reasons but I doubt Lakeside will be the only club to be hit with the threat of closure in the not to distant future. I hope at least some kind of compromise can be found in the short term if nothing else but it does look very bleak.
  14. I take it that Drodz is a Belle Vue asset, for what that is worth nowadays, so maybe they felt a bit more loyalty to one of their own. IMO Etheridge was doing well, or at least well enough not to be dropped when as you say there were weaker riders in the Belle Vue team.
  15. Best wishes and a speedy recovery to Leon Flint who fractured his wrist while riding at Glasgow yesterday.
  16. When you read about the goings on at some meetings this season up and down the Country you get the feeling speedway isn`t dying more committing suicide.
  17. As others have said the Pardubice club have shown little or no interest in holding a GP in the past and I don`t see that changing. Hopefully the talks between BSI and the Prague mayor are successful and we see a return to Marketa.
  18. Unfortunately for him but Belle Vue have dropped Jye Etheridge signing Mark Riss as his replacement.
  19. I wouldn't be knocking him, there are very few like him left.
  20. The collection that was held last night for minibike rider Mickey Bennett raised the magnificent sum of £1141. Details can be found on the club's Facebook page.
  21. We have mixed teams not mixed races so the 500cc riders race each other with lower cc`s racing each other. Berwick choose from a squad including Keiron Douglas, Leon Flint, Luke Ruddock, Harry McGurk, Sam McGurk and Luke Harrison, all of whom are now making strides in the sport. Sadly it isn't recorded on youtube though the rounds of the 250cc World Championships are live on Youtube.
