  1. They were proper supporters last week, now they`re super fans.
  2. Not having a go at any rider, it was another poster who claimed Ricky`s attitude was if he didn't make the gate that was that, Ricky round Berwick should be better than that and able to pass or at least mount a challenge as he is one of the leagues best riders round Shielfield. As for gate and go around Berwick, that isn't a new problem.
  3. That is probably the one thing that really annoys me, when riders literally give up before the end of the race, I can except break downs, falls etc but a rider giving up is not acceptable.
  4. Hardly a great advert for your No1 though is it, didn't make the gate that was that.
  5. Certainly an odd situation regarding Hancock and Rzeszow. Anyway here we go with Stal Gorzow and Wroclaw with the enigma that is Kasprzak taken the first race.
  6. Looks like the meeting was awarded as Rawicz turned up with only three Polish riders and not four Polish riders as in their rules, they then ran a training meeting that Bach didnt take part in. https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/771086/nie-bedzie-meczu-w-bydgoszczy-sedzia-przyznal-walkower-druznynie-polonii
  7. Aaron Summers has scored 5pts in Poland today riding for his team Wanda Krakow, the meeting ended in a 45-45 draw.
  8. Agree regarding gate and go, especially with a track the size and shape of Shielfield but I thought there was more actual racing last night than in recent weeks where some of the races looked not much more than demonstration races. Last night the track did look more grippy than of late and gave the riders a chance to race. Good win for Berwick, far stronger in reserve positions. For Edinburgh Wells not being quite up to his normal high standard round Berwick and Riss having two poor opening rides went along way to their down fall especially Ht6 where the Monarchs tactical move back fired on them. Quite what Edinburgh see in Max Clegg is beyond me, it seems his racing career is stuck in reverse at the minute at Championship level anyway. I`d love to know what Scott Courtney said about the new STARRS in interview during the Ben Fund collection but the PS system, in the main stand at least is awful,. Maybe the club could put an interview either on the official site or on their Youtube channel.
  9. Proof if proof were needed that posting on an empty head is alive and well in Redcar.
  10. Announced at Berwick tonight that this meeting has been rearranged for Thursday September 6th
  11. Berwick were good that night no doubt about that but were help by a poor Glasgow side on the night, I cant see Edinburgh so poor.
  12. Great idea, if he`s not to bust maybe we can get the World Champ to do the draw.
  13. As Berwick were winning at the time this was called off, can we least claim the moral victory.
  14. Boxall`s career has been on a steady decline for a season or two now, surely there is no team left desperate enough to sign him now, especially now.
  15. It would seem that the Workington promotion are about to be rewarded with another low crowd for this fixture, through no fault of their own. You wonder just how long they can go on like that.
  16. Sums it up perfectly though I don`t think that is a good thing.
  17. As thing stand Berwick run their last home meeting of the season next Saturday the 18th, maybe Ipswich could run this on a Saturday night.
  18. Berwick 1 Kevin Doolan 2 David Howe 3 Danny Gappmaier 4 Jye Etheridge 5 Aaron Summers 6 Theo Pijper 7 NB Jacobsen Edinburgh 1 Ricky Wells 2 Victor Palovaara 3 Josh Pickering 4 Ritchie worrall 5 Erik Riss 6 Max Clegg 7 Joel Anderson Weather forecast is decent to what looks like a decent meeting potentially https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/0/2655819
  19. And likely to turn off supporters who might just be willing to donate, one day lessons will be learned, but that day wont be today.
  20. Either way the important thing is to get money in, whether that be a sense of duty or a tax break, after all on the face of it Berwick Speedway is a relatively small business so any money is of great benefit. I wish the club the best in getting the donations needed though speedway in general is failing, whether donations from customers can save it for the long term remains to be seen.
