  1. After a number of years of rule changes, poor promotion and neglect all of speedways ills wont be put right in one AGM, but the BSPA can at least make a start, that`s all I hope for.
  2. He`s only gone and won it, what an incredible achievement.
  3. All booked up here to for what looks likely to be the last trip to Prague for a while for SGP anyway.
  4. Started off in the No2 position last season which was always going to be a big ask, then seemed to struggle with new engines which sapped his confidence. He did seem to be doing well at Birmingham and that saw him get guest bookings in the Premiership. You would think there would be teams looking at him for next season but he has made his decision.
  5. Kind of puzzled me to. Anyway here`s a little bit more detail from the Birmingham site. http://www.birminghambrummies.co/news.php?extend.2551

  7. The Prague GP has improved with every year in the time I have been going and IMO will be a miss off the calendar. Great city, great food, easy to get around, sad to see it go.
  8. I have used this one in previous years and will do again for Prague next year. http://speedwaygp.com/calendar https://www.ticketportal.cz/Event/2018_CZECH_REPUBLIC_FIM_SPEEDWAY_GRAND_PRIX?idp=260027#modalHladisko
  9. Maybe he`s been tipped a wink he has one of the wild card picks.
  10. It would be great to see Pedersen back in SGP as the guy is box office, but is he really deserving of a pick as in the only two GP`s he competed in his results were poor and it looked unlikely he would be anywhere near the top eight at that time. Pedersen`s pick should go to Millik IMO.
  11. Whatever the rights and wrongs in all of this, I hope both Peterborough and Scunthorpe both come to the tapes next year as it would be criminal of the fans of either or both of those clubs were to lose their speedway through no fault of their own.
  12. Who`s been listening to the latest set of rumours, presumably if the club go in this direction, and if the team average stays the same the club will spend the points remaining on a rider who will come into the side as the No1 rider.
  13. Yes fair enough, but it would be fair to say any of the advise giving hasn't turned out to be all that great.
  14. "Competition a little to hot tonight for Davey Watt", you don`t say Kelvin. Whether through qualification, selection, ego trip, whatever, there is no way Watt should be any where near this SGP.
  15. Doyle has paid his dues to the sport so thoroughly deserves his Championship, best rider this season.
  16. On the one hand its fantastic the we are seeing speedway get into these kinds of stadiums but sadly there is virtually no chance of filling every seat, a crowd of 35-40000 for a speedway meeting is great but when they are sat in a stadium that holds double that the crowd looks poor. Maybe its a reflection of the racing we seem to be more interested on how many people is there.
  17. More the fool Rathbone for listening to a fellow promoter, and a member of the management committee to boot.
  18. Doyle will be crowned Champion soon rather than later in the meeting, but lets hope we get a decent meeting to end this years SGP.
  19. As a rider who is retired Mr Watt should be nowhere near this GP, other than in the stand with the rest of the paying public.
  20. Quite a step forward even just to be nominated, wouldnt it be great if he won. https://www.leonflintracing.com/single-post/2017/10/25/Flint-Nominated-For-Major-Award
  21. Obviously I`m not there but the crowd on updates is described as "not great", which is a worry for the future of Newcastle speedway.
