Rathbone/godfrey Allegations
screm replied to wealdstone's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Whatever the rights and wrongs in all of this, I hope both Peterborough and Scunthorpe both come to the tapes next year as it would be criminal of the fans of either or both of those clubs were to lose their speedway through no fault of their own. -

Who`s been listening to the latest set of rumours, presumably if the club go in this direction, and if the team average stays the same the club will spend the points remaining on a rider who will come into the side as the No1 rider.

Rathbone/godfrey Allegations
screm replied to wealdstone's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Yes fair enough, but it would be fair to say any of the advise giving hasn't turned out to be all that great. -
On the one hand its fantastic the we are seeing speedway get into these kinds of stadiums but sadly there is virtually no chance of filling every seat, a crowd of 35-40000 for a speedway meeting is great but when they are sat in a stadium that holds double that the crowd looks poor. Maybe its a reflection of the racing we seem to be more interested on how many people is there.

More the fool Rathbone for listening to a fellow promoter, and a member of the management committee to boot. -
Quite a step forward even just to be nominated, wouldnt it be great if he won. https://www.leonflintracing.com/single-post/2017/10/25/Flint-Nominated-For-Major-Award

Newcastle Doubble Header 22 October
screm replied to mike7164's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Obviously I`m not there but the crowd on updates is described as "not great", which is a worry for the future of Newcastle speedway. -
I think it will be Lawson who leaves, with Worrall staying, possibly joined by his brother Steve. Time will tell.
-
I can see Steve joining brother Ritchie at Glasgow for next season. I would put Jye Etheridge down as unlikely, after buying him from Edinburgh I think he is very much part of plans for Berwick next year.

Your keen on signing Berge, good luck with that.

Are we any closer knowing to where the SWC will be held, few rumours not long ago that it will return to the NSS. -

The post on the clubs official Facebook page says £15 gets you live music, presentation, interviews, drinks and a party time, there is no mention of food. Must admit, while there is nothing wrong with the Marshall Meadows or its facilities, it does seem a bit strange to take this kind of event out of Berwick, maybe the Black and Gold was already booked for the 21st but there must be somewhere else within Berwick who could've hosted the end of season night. Berwick Bandits Speedway added 2 new photos. 17 September at 21:05 · END OF SEASON PARTY TICKETS. End of season party tickets will be on sale from Castlegate Interiors @ 85 Castlegate, Berwick upon Tweed from 10am tomorrow morning! As advertised, the party takes place at Marshall Meadows Country house hotel on Saturday 21st of October at 7pm. Stay tuned this week for our online poll for Bandit of the season! Tickets £15 Live Music Presentations Interviews Drinks Party time! #backthebandits
