Not sure if I would go so far as saying it was a terrible decision though I can see the counter argument, Pedersen left the door open, it wasn't like Zagar was going to hang back and let Pedersen make the corner first. -

Tough call on Zagar there, but IMO the ref got it just about right. -

Carr proved towards the end of last season that he was a more than capable reserve and turned in some match winning performances, sadlt this season he has found the jump into the main team a bit of a struggle, resulting in him being dropped. Hopefully dropping into the NL will see a return in confidence and scoring that will make Liam a very attractive signing on a 3pt average come 2018, not unless he returns to Championship racing before the end of the current season of course and if he continues to score as he is at the minute that`s a real possibility. -

As far as Berwick`s concerned, vetoed on what grounds, as I said yesterday Berwick`s team change is within the rules set out by the BSPA in that Gappmaier has yet to complete 4h 4a, the integrity of the sport such as it is remains intact. Believe if Berwick were in the wrong I would say so, have they fortunate with one rained off meeting to keep Gappmaier on a 4pt average, yes, but that`s about it. -

No fuss, Berwick`s team including Howe is perfectly legal, Gappmaier has not yet completed 4h 4a and so doesn't yet qualify for a proper average so stays on an assessed average. It wasn't Berwick who decided to do away with rolling averages and its hardly Berwick`s fault that the meeting at Ipswich was rained off so Carr leaves with Howe coming in. -

I applaud the club for making this decision, cant have been easy but results and scores dont lie. Sadly Liam has found his place in the top five a bit of a struggle this season and his scores have been poor, the club have giving him time to improve but sadly there was no sign of that happening and IMO even a drop to reserve wouldn't have made much difference. Hopefully for Liam he can get his scores and his confidence back at Birmingham and come back stronger next season, on what should be a very attractive average. -
Sadly for rider and his clubs Phillips has suffered a broken femur which will keep him out for a while.

Injury confirmed as a broken femur which will mean a fairly long time out.

Reports suggest a broken collar bone for Kasprazak so he will likely miss a meeting or two for Poole. -
certainly how it reads here. http://www.workingtoncomets.co/news/article.asp?id=100784 I would actually be happy to see Roynon retire, he has suffered some very nasty injuries over his career and I would hate to see him possibly suffer more.

As you say there is no way a track should be set up just to suit one rider, and in this case Vissing should have been professional enough to adapt to the track, its not as if he was struggling to score points, in fact he looked very impressive. -

Fully agree, Berge and Carr were the weak links in the top five, it is they who should've gone. Berge did Carr remains and sadly for him and the team there is no sign of his scoring improving. It must be hoped the extra meetings he will now get with Birmingham does the trick, as Berwick cant continue to carry riders as we have done so far this season. Whatever happened between club and rider regarding Vissing is history now though surely its part of a managers role to manage his riders, maybe this was tried and failed but getting rid of Vissing was a mistake. -

I think there is a practice session at Berwick tomorrow night, maybe an answer or two will be found there for riders looking for a team place. -
Condolences to all family, friends and loved ones.

Redcar V Berwick Ch 4th May
screm replied to Norfolk Bear's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Liking your optimism, Redcar have hit 50+pts in their last couple of home meetings and I fully expect them to do so again this Thursday, Ipswich managed 35, Newcastle 34, Berwick will be doing well to match these scores. -

Danny Gappmaier`s hopes of SEC success looks to have ended in today's meeting at Mureck, he finished in 10th with 6pts, the meeting was won by Andrzel Lebiediew.
