Lets be honest after Bewley and Lanbert and to a lesser extent Woffinden, there`s not much between any of the remaining riders. -

It was serious stuff, at one point I thought they would start throwing their hair gel at each other. All happened at the end of Heat 12, from my view point Baily had went round Coles and was attempting to go round Etheridge. Bit of hard racing, no more, and off we went. See I go back to the days of Rob Grant, back then when there was a punch up, it was a punch up. -
Hearing a bit better news on Thomas Jorgensen in that he wont require surgery on his back/neck injury, it will mean he has to be fitted with a back brace but should heal naturally. Unfortunately his season for Berwick and Kings Lynn is over though has he will need to where his brace for around 3 months.

For the second week running this meeting was worth every penny of the entry money, Berwick got off to a good start and built what appeared to be a winnable lead, but lead by Danny King and Charles Wright the visitors fought back to the point where they were able to pinch a draw going into the last race, thankfully Berwick found a hero in Leon Flint who`s second place sealed a home win, a surprise home win giving Redcar`s recent record round Shielfield. -

Berwick now without Thomas Jorgensen, and for the foreseeable future one would presume, with broken vertebrae in his neck. Best wishes to him on a speedy recovery. https://www.berwickspeedway.com/news/tj-update/ Justin Sedgeman comes in as guest, along side other guests Ritchie Worrall and Luke Killeen. -

Ritchie Worrall strengthens Berwick, for this meeting and at Edinburgh tonight, but not by enough to save Berwick from two defeats. Not so sure about Luke Killeen as guest, plenty effort but can he stay on his bike long enough to score any points. -

IMO if Berwick aren't careful they could find Redcar coming up to Berwick on Saturday and doing a real number on them. -
Without wishing to be nasty, you may need bigger race suits for one or two of them.

“011.1.5 UnsatisfactoryStarts The Referee will give a warning to any rider deemed to have been the cause of or contributed to the unsatisfactory start. This will be communicated verbally by the Referee to the rider concerned via the start marshal or clerk of course before the race is started. This warning remains effective until the rider commits a further starting offence, in a subsequent heat, in the same event. This will result in a mandatory disqualification from that heat. Following a mandatory disqualification for a second offence any previous warning is deleted. The handicap or reserve replacement option is permitted.” This is the ruling that seems to cover the events surrounding Heat 15 last night, interesting that the warning should be giving to the rider via the start marshal or the clerk of the course. It says nothing about centre green presenter, did Berwick break the rules twice last night after warnings were giving to Edinburgh riders by our wonderful centre green presenter or could he just not help himself. -

Thing is with these multi usernames on the Berwick threads is that is doesn't take a genius to work out what is going on, and if those who use them for their own entertainment are connected to the club it shows the club in a poor light, especially when attacking a clubs supporter. -

Thing with Craig Cook moving at the starts, did he really need to do it, seems to me he was quick enough to win races with the moving. -

What a ridiculous post, maybe you could ask why Bandit59 didn't attend. What do you suggest, take away the Berwick live stream, or BSN for that matter. -

Best meeting I have seen this season at Berwick, admittedly I have not been to every meeting but last night I was happy to pay my £20 with an entertaining meeting with some very good racing. Leon Flint and Berwick can feel hard done to when his back tyre gave up while in second place in the last and deciding race, but ultimately the race is over four laps and not three and one quarter, anyway the reason for the loss cant be put at that particular door as that would be foolish. Once again the opposition out numbered the home side in race winners and once we head into the last few races, and the away team have a strong one and five, Berwick usually come un-stuck, as they did last night. Add in one or two strange managerial decisions and you have your reasons for another home defeat. The long term future for Edinburgh Speedway is uncertain, if they do come to the tapes in 2024 then I would be getting a contract under the nose of Bastian Borke, on first viewing last night Edinburgh have something special on their hands.
