  1. Todd Kurtz ‏@TKR10 Jun 27 PL have tracks like Somerset, Peterborough and Sheffield. And sky go to Berwick. Brilliant
  2. Whoever gets more from their R/R`s will go along way to coming out on top. I like the look of the Plymouth team but as Workington found out last Monday Berwick are a team high on confidence just now and I expect a home win. Obviously Mr Kurtz wasn't all that impressed about Berwick being on Sky the other night, I am sure he will be looking forward to showing us just how to ride the Berwick track.
  3. You`d like to think so wouldn't you, but there`s nothing like speedway to make a nonsense of what should be a simple and straight forward rule. Going by this simple rule the only rider that should've been excluded was Pijper, who was actually the only one who touched the tapes, the others should've been let go.
  4. As a Workington fan it may be a case of enduring and not enjoying your teams performance the other night. You should be grateful there wasn't a full line up of reserves in more races, the Workington reserves were next to useless so the score might've been bigger in Berwick`s favour.
  5. I wouldn't have Harris in my Team GB, however using your criteria there would be no Lambert, Cook or Nicholls.
  6. Not good news I agree with but I dont think its for the want of trying, the club have said themselves they prefer to run with seven riders so i hope they can get the right rider in very soon.
  7. Yes, the SGP Qualifier takes place in Lonigo this Saturday.
  8. What no Woffinden, get real, whatever anyone's feeling about Tai, not singing our national anthem, not riding in our British Final etc, he will be in our SWC team. It would be stupid to do otherwise.
  9. I think Josh Bates should be our under-21 reserve, along with Woffinden and Lambert I would go with Nicholls and Cook.
  10. Someone had to ask the questions, who better than Cresent Barrie.
  11. So with Kevin Doolan moving to No1 in the new averages we are forced into running R/R for the injured Seb Alden, I am sure the club have done everything possible to bring in a new rider but so far have been unsuccessful, but IMO going will R/R weakens us, so hopefully all the hard work the club is doing behind the scenes will see a new rider coming in soon. Guest will be required for Daniel Gappmaier on Friday and Saturday as he is away racing in the SGP Qualifiers.
  12. Don`t see lightening striking twice, but Berwick are riding well at the minute so I think we can get at least a point. Going with R/R weakens us, hopefully the club will have a replacement in soon.
  13. Chris Harris`s performance last Saturday has given Alun Rossiter a bit of a nudge, but I would still like to think Woffinden and Lambert are certainties, after that its a two way choice between Cook, Nicholls, King and possibly Harris.
  14. Hopefully this will be a great advert for speedway in general and PL speedway inparticular.
  15. Taken from Tapes Up Productions, via YouTube, Sky`s top two giving their reasons for coming to Berwick, speedway would be all the better if every club at the Berwick attitude. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMgRWPv-lYs
  16. So when did they change the size of the fuel tanks as its not so long ago that Ht15 in the EL was over six laps, and while Berwick is a big track, Peterborough, who were in the EL then as well as Swindon and their tracks aren`t exactly small.
  17. I think its fair to say the track did get plenty of rain during Saturday afternoon, as it was quite a thunderstorm.
  18. Wasn't the second line at the gate meant to stop all that, but I agree with you if a riders makes a start without touching the tapes I fail to see why the race should be brought back. For example the only rider who touched the tapes last night was Theo Pijper, who should IMO opinion been excluded as this rule that if the bike touches the tapes your out but if the rider touches the tape your fine should be tidied up so if anything touches the tapes your excluded.
  19. Whilst I get your point, the track shape is what it is and we have had very good meetings at Berwick, this season's meeting with Redcar arguably the best. Maye more should be made of how poor Workington were as to the reason for the lack of entertainment last night, not great when you see a riders bike fail twice before he has started a race, another fail to get anywhere near scoring a point, and another who it appears clearly didn't want to be there in the first place.
  20. Actually no, there has never been a huge problem with bend four, much more accidents on the exciting of bend two but not this season so far. Bends three and four are normally excellent passing opportunities.
  21. Haven`t watched a replay yet of last nights meeting but I think its fair to say it was exactly a classic and probably didn't make for good tv, bit of a first heat decider. That said when you get a poor team racing away at a team riding well and with confidence, and that team lives up to their poor rating then you get an easy home win. Roynon and Williamson should've stayed at home, and what looked like a capable top five, they were blown away by the home riders, so maybe a little bit of credit for Berwick please. Sad to see at least one Workington rider taking to social media to blame his and his sides poor performance on Berwick, and its track, and another, this time a Plymouth rider criticising Berwick, but at least Mr Kurtz will get his chance this coming Saturday to show just how good a rider he is. Correct, it should be celebrated that we have at least one track trying to attract the cameras to their track instead of some who appear to do anything possible to fight them off. Credit to Berwick at least for that, and by the amount of times Sky keep coming back it would appear they see the work being done by our promotion, staff, and fans.
  22. The guys with the flag were staying in the same hotel as me, and we're in the same section in the stadium, that flag has been to quite a few SGPs. Still stuck in Prague that to Easyjet cancelling my flight.
  23. Thoroughly enjoyed last night's SGP, sat next to some guys from Wolverhampton, delighted to see so many Brits there, the down side is that I am stuck in Prague till tomorrow as Easyjet cancelled my flight late last night.
  24. I am not a million miles from the track and if what's over my hotel now is or has been over the track we have very little chance of seeing any SGP tonight.
