Tactical Ride - Premier League Cup
screm replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Irrespective of supplementary rules, IMO the less there is the better, to say you cant solely rely on the rule book probably sums why speedway is in the mess it is. Surely the rule book should be enforced at every meeting at every track in the Country. -
Sky have changed venues at much shorter than this in the past, remember this meeting was posted as off on Saturday afternoon leaving ample time for the cameras to get to Monmore, if they wanted to of course.

Berwick Vs Redcar Sat 26th March
screm replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Must admit I was a tad surprised Alden`s exclusion light didn`t come on but its the refs decision on the night that counts, but the main thing was he got up from what could've been a nasty crash, not only for him but for the other riders in the race who thankfully missed man and machine. -
Carr should be well capable of getting a top ten place, but I think it would do Liam`s confidence the World of good if he can get a place on the rostrum.
-
Good luck to Liam Carr in this meeting, he should be able to secure a top ten place with a bit of luck.

Berwick Vs Redcar Sat 26th March

In these early season challenge matches I think some refs are being more lenient regarding the new start procedure, but once the league racing starts riders will be penalised, certainly our own Thomas Jorgensen could do with staying still at the starts. -
Have we got any "normal supporters" left.

If we are looking to apportion blame, could I be the first to mention Matt Ford and all at Poole.

Newcastle Vs Redcar Tyne Tees Trophy Sunday 3rd April

Thumping home win for the Diamonds tonight, great to see Matej in the big points. -
If Buster gets his way and the EL go to one race night, maybe he will have to get used to Monday night racing, Sky or not.

Whatever the rights and wrongs about this situation the fact is speedway is not going out to a tv audience tomorrow night.

Is it any of our business to know what`s going on within the Chapman family, young JC by his own admission is a fan now so his opinions on here are as valid or invalid as anyone else's.

Anyone think this will have had something to do with it. http://www.stockcar-racing.co.uk/content/news/sun-3-april-1pm-preview.ashx

Lucky lads to be getting up from that. -
As I posted earlier I cant buy its just because of a iffy weather forecast, something the Kings Lynn track will face virtually on a weekly bases, had there been weather warnings, fair enough but to the best of my knowledge there hasn't been leaving me to believe there is more to this than certain people are letting on.

Glasgow V Edinburgh - League Cup 3pm, 3rd April
screm replied to george.m's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Impressive from Glasgow, though as this was Edinburgh`s first meeting as a team a home win was always on the cards, that and Glasgow are a better team. -
That would cause all kinds of fun and games over on the multi username Berwick threads.

As you say there were positives for Redcar to, with Jonas B Anderson being the first of them, very impressed by him last night. -
The track guys at Kings Lynn lead by Buster are renowned to up there with the best in the business, so an iffy forecast wouldn't or shouldn't be anything they haven't faced before to make them call off a meeting so early. IMO there`s more to this than meets the eye, but it being speedway, and not exactly run in a professional manner at times, why should we be surprised at the goings on over the last twenty four hours.

In the PR stakes this isn't a great start to the 2016 season.

As many on here predicted, Leicester looked weak from the get go, so their scores and performances shouldn't come as any surprise. Changes now are a must if their season is over before it really starts but I take it Leicester will be in the same boat as Coventry, another side threatening changes, where they have to wait until May 1st to make any change.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2645456 This is tomorrows forecast according to the BBC, would Sky really postpone a meeting just on this forecast alone, or is their more to this than we know.
