  1. You're giving me far to much credit, but thanks anyway, my post actually started with a conversation at work with someone who already had tickets, I asked him if there were any tickets left which he didn't know, that lead to Facebook where I saw the contact details. I thought to put it on here to either help others and/or to get a sensible reply, this has been done in post 1211.
  2. Sad to read that, though I hope most fans of either team would be above all that and get to Armadale or Ashfield to support their team and have a good night out at the speedway.
  3. For those who haven't yet purchased their tickets for the up and coming Q & A night with Nigel Pearson and former Berwick rider Kelvin Tatum, there is information to do so on the Berwick Supporters Club page on Facebook, I don't know how many tickets they still have on sale as the information was posted a couple of weeks ago so apologies if all the tickets have gone though I am sure the club will have advertised this event through their news letters or on the official site, especially as Nigel and Kelvin are only visiting a handful of places on their tour so to get them to Berwick is a real coup for the Supporters Club and Berwick Speedway.
  4. Don`t lose sleep, I think we all know the answer.
  5. All well and good, but I`d wager your good lady didn't take out a British passport as a way round a rule to gain employment.
  6. But that wouldn't be bending the rules, that would be breaking them, which is why I am sure the rule makers will enforce the rule governing 3pt PL reserves. Your club has abided by the rules, as has mine, as has every other club in the PL, every other club apart from one it seems.
  7. I feel a "in the best interests of speedway" coming on, and people wonder why so many supporters are walking away.
  8. The rule as I understand it is PL teams must use a rider at reserve who is British and eligible to race in the NL, Davey is neither.
  9. Surely if a rider chooses to ride in a league match in Poland, his EL would have to go with a NL rider as cover.
  10. But under the rules ( remember them ), or by exploiting some technicality, Edinburgh shouldn't be allowed to sign Davey, crap or otherwise.
  11. Irrespective of what ever passport he will hold, I think Mitchel Davey is still a poor signing for Edinburgh.
  12. Berwick`s press and practice night will take place on Saturday March 19th.
  13. For those who might like to sponsor a rider, Liam Carr has put three sponsorship package deals together on his Facebook page.
  14. This is the winning design for the new race jackets Berwick will be using this season. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=505813239601020
  15. I agree with you, but its only verging on cheating if Edinburgh are allowed to exploit their loophole, as you say the BSPA need to enforce the rule that's there now as it seems simple enough to the rest of the clubs in the PL.
  16. Don't think its quite that, more other teams have stuck by the rules governing 3pt riders, now along come Edinburgh and try and sign a rider that doesn't meet the criteria. If Edinburgh do manage to get a passport for Davey you can be sure other clubs will look to do likewise, and you cant blame them.
  17. With sensible admission prices, I hope the EoES will be packed for the two days. Hope everyone enjoys themselves.
  18. If Davey is Edinburgh`s choice, then best of luck to him, but IMO his signing leaves the Monarchs very weak at reserve. Davey has had long enough racing time over here to make some kind of impact, sadly for him he hasn't, and maybe never will. If he is granted his passport, and is entitled to race in the NL, surely thats not what this new rule was designed to do as IMO he will be taking the place of a young British rider, especially at NL level should someone sign him up of course.
  19. Isn't everyone concentrating on one posters dribble, rather than looking forward to what should be two cracking days speedway.
  20. Even with the extra racing I think £50 for two days speedway, at PL level, is a bit steep. At least you`ve put some kind of figure on what could be expected to be the admission price, all we need now is the BSPA to do the same.
  21. Excellent, then I hope a sensible price is found for Matejs transfer to Newcastle and this saga can be put to bed.
  22. That could be Havelock`s next trick, refuse to go to arbitration.
  23. Those who are looking at cheaper hotels, have a look at the Travelodge Peterborough Alwalton, when I am at Peterborough its where I stay and it only a hop, skip and a jump away from the track. Looking at their site the prices seem pretty reasonable for a two night stay, especially if you take the non-refundable option.
