  1. Glasgow look very top heavy to me, three great heat leaders who will be capable of winning a meeting on their own, but if one or more of them have an off night the Tigers might be in a bit of bother. Still three signings to go of course, but not many points to play with, hopefully for the Tigers their promotion will pull a rabbit out of the hat somewhere.
  2. How about Bellego and Berge, young Berge would certainly love the big track and I think he has the talent. Things went wrong for him at Glasgow, for whatever reason, but he has shown he has what it takes to be a decent scorer at PL level.
  3. Stead has suffered enough to span two careers never mind one, I hope no matter what his scores are he has an injury free 2016.
  4. But you could say just the same about the EL, I don't think there is any problem with having good riders from the continent riding in our leagues but some promotions seem happy to give second rate foreign riders places in their teams when IMO they should be trying to bring through their own talent, yes it takes longer but if you help bring through a GB rider that has to benefit everyone. I like the idea of having a Brit rider at No7, infact I would've gone further, for example I would've like to have seen any foreign rider signed on an assessed average keep that average until such time they get over that mark but the depth of numbers and quality in our junior ranks isn't there right now to have two NL riders at reserve but I applaud the BSPA for at least trying to bring through riders.
  5. Not...Mr Barrie doesn't use this forum, and describes many of its users as Fannies, something he has he has told us many times via his programme column.
  6. Do PL clubs have to stick to one 3pt rider, can they sign two and job share.
  7. Very grateful to those who have stumped up the investment that sees Berwick stay on track, I hope we never find the club in such trouble again, but the some ways there is still hard work ahead in terms of bringing more people through the gate on a regular bases. There were some suggestions on here worth considering, I hope they will be at least looked at. Wouldn't know what deal was good enough to see Jorgensen sign on again, nor that of any other rider, but I am grateful he has and will have the kind of impact he had in 2016 that he had in 2015.
  8. Some people think your in the know. Should those people be loose in our community.
  9. Clearly not, I think we are due some sort of explanation for such crazy claims.
  10. Ah, so we`re back to posters posting for a bit of sport, and I wonder who the fannies are.
  11. Exactly, I think broadly speaking most of us have giving the team for next season the thumbs up, we have welcomed the appointment of a former rider as team manager, and most importantly welcomed that fact we actually have a team to support, doesn't and shouldn't stop debate, argument and conversation.
  12. Your not happy when there`s fallouts and criticisms on these threads, now your not happy there some agreement and harmony here just now.
  13. Correct I `m not saying that, bit surprised you read that into my post, but there you. I merely see Alden as a gamble, but if you don't take the gamble you don't see the benefits, I hope he is a success. You would rather have Bellego than Pijper, that's your opinion, and your entitled to it, as I am to mine.

  15. The Berwick team may not leap off the page, most fans wanted to go strength in depth, and they have. Wethers should be a potent reserve, much like Jensen and then Kus was a couple of seasons ago, he should be putting pressure on someone in the top five. I also think Liam Carr will benefit from the new ruling regarding No7`s and at the minute I dont see a better No7 out there. The only rider I have my doubts about is Alden, he has the capabilities to be brilliant one week and anonymous the next, and not racing on a regular bases could also be a problem, but he is an asset, and knows the club and promotion well, I hope he comes good.
  16. Not really, Berwick will soon announce their last three signings, those wont include Fisher, so he will be free to sign for Edinburgh or anyone else.
  17. Interested maybe, signing no as an announcement quite soon will reveal.
  18. Make time. I am sure I will find time to squeeze in a couple while there.
  19. Just booked my hotel for the Friday and Saturday night, please BSI, Belle Vue Speedway, or whoever decides these things, be sensible with ticket prices, you will get a full stadium so no need to screw the good paying public.
  20. Post 279 clarifies that matter though doesn't it, cant see the point your trying to make.
  21. But Pepe`s nailed on, somebodies going to be looking a tad foolish this time on Sunday if he`s not announced. I agree with your final three predictions.
  22. Thought it was always better to have the race off on a Thursday, at least it gives a spare day in case of a rain off, if that happens in Manchester there`s a good chance that will move the Final to the Sunday, causing chaos to those fans booking hotels, but its Manchester so the chances of rain are very low.
  23. Sunday evening I think, though I am sure it will be confirmed by a higher force than I. I expect one rider to be nailed on.
  24. Boo Boo and Barley are signing for Glasgow, isnt everyone, Mcgrew and Cuthbert will need visas before signing, Grub has signed and is on £120 per point according to some on here, and Officer Dibble is needed by Top Cat after a spate of cat burglaries.
