Certainly gives Berwick a strong top two, my only issue is that arguably our best rider will have had all his programmed rides by Ht10, after which he will have to wait till Ht15 to have another race.
Berwick`s error was not taking advantage of Jonas Knudson`s false average over the winter, they compounded that by signing Thomas Jorgensen on a falsely high average.
If Berwick have any real ambitions to reach the play offs then more than one change is needed, time will tell if they have and the necessary team changes take place.
Sadly most of us know the answer to that.
Luke Becker has made his track return in todays SGP Qualifier in Zarnocica, he has finished in 3rd place with 12pts. The meeting was won by Martin Vaculik.
Sorry, but I cant get into the mind set that the promotion would sign a team at the start of the season knowing they would need to make changes when the averages sorted themselves out. Signing Jorgensen on a falsely high average was the mistake.
New averages are out, Berwick`s team average drops to 37-77. Former No1 Thomas Jorgensen drops a very impressive 2-5pts, his place is taken by Rory Schlein.
If Dick Barrie and/or Berwick Speedway believe that the very poor attendance at the recent Scunthorpe, Kent double header was down to people having a Kings coronation party, then they are not reading the room. I know plenty people who didn't go and not one of them said it was due to the coronation, more value for money and the price itself.
