Accepted, but we had one poster the other day on this thread exclaiming the fact that Erik Riss had the temerity of trying to return to racing with his German club then go back onto the injury list and miss this weeks Redcar fixtures, including tonight`s. Berwick would've known of Knudson`s absence for tonight's match last week.

Very possible though its still strange therefore to arrange a fixture with the knowledge you are already a man down.

Team news for tonight is that Greg Blair continues to stand in for the injured Nathan Stoneman while Jonas Knudson is also missing tonight, not because of his accident at Glasgow last night but because he is riding in Poland for his team Pila, something you would've thought that Berwick could've let everyone know last Saturday.

Greg Blair does come in for Stoneman who faces a few weeks out. Not so sure what all the fuss is about, its a comfortable home win.

But he will miss Redcar`s meeting this week at Birmingham tomorrow night and then at Redcar on Friday for their home match against Scunthorpe. It remains to be seen whether he takes his place at Ipswich on Monday for their local derby match against Kings Lynn.

With the second leg of this fixture set to go ahead this Saturday, the home side will show one change from last weeks home win against Edinburgh. With Nathan Stoneman facing a few weeks out Berwick will bring in Greg Blair for this match and the match up at Glasgow the previous evening.

Latest injury news on Josh Pickering is that he is still very sore this morning and will attend his local hospital later today for a more thorough diagnoses.

Welcome win for the home side in a meeting where any serious challenge from Edinburgh probably ended with the Pickering accident and subsequent injury. Track conditions where difficult with lots of dust but with the forecast it was understandable with the drizzle during the day. The forecast I posted the other day was pretty much spot on. At youth levels Kyle Bickley won just about everything there was to win and looked a real prospect. Certainly looks the part, well turned out, good equipment but just lacking the necessaries to make the step up.
