  2. Of course Bandit4evea is correct, to many fans £15 is a lot of money to pay out for a Saturday nights speedway, if the team is losing and the racing poor it doesn't take a brain surgeon to understand the people aren't going to go as many times. I am sure the referees report on last nights meeting will be posted later on, giving some of the comments on here from paying customers it will be interesting to see how he saw things.
  3. According to the promotion the collapse was partly down to a couple of falls and a slickening track, cant do much about the first two but you`d think they could do something about the track which seems to have been very slick. But your right, one defeat shouldn't cause to much alarm, but one or two more in the next few weeks will lead to fans voting with their feet, no matter how great the Saturday night experience at Shielfield is for some.
  4. Losing at home s no good to anyone, especially if it becomes a regular thing, but Berwick wont run into teams as good as Glasgow every week so there`s hope yet.
  5. Are you sure your postie isn't having a quick look before he delivers it to you, I get mine by post without any trouble, normally comes on a Thursday but failing that Friday. Cant you get it delivered, much easier.
  6. I am sure Berwick`s track reports will be a regular feature on every Berwick review from now on.
  7. Spare a thought for Kyle Newman, rained off at Poole this morning, rained off at Swindon this evening and no way of getting to Somerset for tonight's meeting that at the minute is still on.
  8. To be fair to Cook its been a tweet posted by Edinburgh Speedway then retweeted by Cook, clearly their trying to get this "Join the defence" thing going, and if it gets a reaction, people talking then it cant be a bad thing. Maybe it will be Glasgow`s chance to do the same this time next year.
  9. This post should be stuffed and mounted, much like the subject of the post.
  10. Forecast is far better for tomorrow than the weather we`ve had today, Saturday`s forecast is mostly cloudy with some bright spells, but more importantly no rain is forecast. Berwick certainly have their work cut out tomorrow, but we have proved the critics wrong before, a win tomorrow will do wonders for team confidence and moral, and give the fans something to shout about to.
  11. I wouldn't take those with multi usernames and multi accounts seriously though, even less those who log on under one username, post, then log off only to miraculously appear minutes later under another username to reply to the first post, I would be worried and slightly scared.
  12. With that kind of thinking not a promoter at Berwick though.
  13. With the way of things at St James Park its the only Champions they`re ever likely to be.
  14. Missing a rider out of a team is one hell of a bit of mis-information.
  15. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.28561 Giving that doctors are saying there may be a six month recovery, Peterborough must surely be looking at a new No1.
  16. To turn up at Berwick with only six riders they must be bloody good, it would appear that since they didn't get him as an asset Berwick have blotted out poor old Dimitri Berge.
  17. I agree with you that Berwick go into Saturday`s meeting as under dogs but the promotion still has a duty to the supporters to put out the best team, they obviously think they are doing that with Kus at No1. If it works and Berwick put up a decent fight then great, if they get a humping most fans will question the decision.
  18. I`m sure the cost in booking Kus was the last thing the promotion considered, surely it should be all about the job he will do on Saturday, clearly they think Kus will score what Barker would've. At least get Saturday night over with, the latest news letter asks of Glasgow " Can they really be that good ?" I guess we will find out on Saturday.
  19. At the minute its Matej Kus that's guesting on Saturday.
  20. You could probably name your own odds on that, giving Barkers average there`s enough quality riders from the PL or EL to cover Barker.
  21. Ah but isn't he worth it, I know who will have the name down first on the list.
  22. Maybe VIP Club members can get a free bus to visit our poorly No1.
