  1. Stead would've taken a bit of stopping on Saturday, but I`m sure Sheffield will come up with a more than adequate guest. Unfortunately David Bellego will be absent on Saturday to having picked up a hip injury that will keep him out for something like six weeks.
  2. Long time to go until tapes up next season, Allen might find that running his engineering business very much to his liking and announce his retirement. Tourettes information is on most occasions pretty spot on, I am sorry you used my post as a way to have a dig at him.
  3. http://peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2446.2 Allen not thinking of retirement just yet.
  4. Statement from Paul Bellamy, managing director, BSI Speedway: I would like to apologise to all fans in the Stadion Narodowy, Warsaw, on behalf of BSI Speedway. We are terribly disappointed with how events unfolded on Saturday. We respect the FIM Jury decision to call the result after heat 12 due to the track conditions. A lot of the information reported in the media is inaccurate. We will require a full investigation on what happened from all concerned and will communicate the results once completed. Taken from Speedway GP.
  5. Allen suffered a nasty ankle injury a week or two back and is ruled out for the rest of the season so will probably have kit up for sale, haven't seen anything about him retiring, given his injuries he picked up last Saturday at Rye House Simon Stead might have kit for sale to as its difficult seeing him back before the end of the season.
  6. Maybe for Berwick one report covers all meetings at Shielfield.
  7. We know that already, the report will say excellent as it has done for every meeting so far this season.
  8. Wasn't a massive amount of passing but yes the racing was better, at least the riders could give it a go, where a week earlier against Edinburgh they stood to chance. You weren't alone in staying away as there was many empty spaces around Shielfield.
  9. Didn't Schlein have a move to Peterborough blocked during the winter, unless things have changed it would be difficult to see a move to Sheffield giving the green light.
  10. Do you think Lindgren, and the good folk on here would be saying the same if Pedersen had had Batchelor off, somehow I think not.
  11. From a PR point of view it would fantastic, but something tells me that Tai Woffinden wont be a Tiger anytime soon.
  12. As Stead is No1 Sheffield will get a guest facility, no need for R/R.
  13. I thought part of Barkers equipment was Steen Jensen`s from last season.
  14. Best wishes to Simon for a quick and full recovery, one things for sure this injury has left a massive hole to fill.
  15. Just watching it now from last night, Jim Lawrence is having a shocker, and its obvious that Glasgow have sold their starting gates to the good folk at Warsaw.
  16. Simon`s mechanic has posted on Twitter than Simon has been talking and is in a stable condition.
  17. Best wishes to Simon and David after what sounds a horrible crash, hopefully both will be able to take their place in Sheffield's fixtures very soon.
  18. Quite a meeting at Shielfield tonight, a meeting that Berwick did everything they could to chuck away all the points with engine failure after engine failure, take nothing away from Scunthorpe as they took full advantage and bad had luck of their own with an untimely fall for Wilkinson while leading a crucial Ht14, all credit to the former Bandit for clearing the track when a lesser rider would've got the race stopped. Hugely encouraging performance from Jorgensen who produced his meeting of the season so far, but there would appear to be lots of hours in their respective workshops for Doolan, Vissing, Edberg and in particular Barker who all suffered engine failures. Enjoyed watching young Lunna, Scunthorpe look to have signed a good one there. Enjoyed the meeting tonight, it was nice to see the riders racing on a track that let do just that.
  19. If you mean Jorgensen, he`s doing well, tonight was his best meeting and he is thoroughly enjoying his time at Berwick. Clearly we need to get Barker going, riding injured and/or problems with his bike has hampered his scoring, but he needs to get back to the scores we all know he is capable of. Feel a bit sorry for Crang, virtually wrote off a bike in a crash at Birmingham recently, his low scores are easier to high light when you have other riders in the team not scoring as they should, he does need to start chipping in though as we cant run carrying a rider, hopefully that will happen soon.
  20. Haven't seen anyone asking for a rough, unpredictable track, just a track where both teams can go out and race, not having virtually all racing done and dusted by the exit of bend two lap one. It can be done, the track staff prepared a track where we had excellent meetings last year so it can be done.
  21. Since you replied, and only since you replied, then the referees reports are at odds with the vast majority of Berwick`s regular paying customers.
  22. I`ve thought of nothing else all week, if its posted on here when the comments are favourable then in fairness of balance it should be posted on here each week, you shouldn't pick and choose.
