BERWICK v GLASGOW (BSN) April 15th - 7pm
screm replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The £20 admission across the board and all age groups is a scandal, I`ve said for along time that at Championship level £1 per race is more than adequate so the likes of me should be paying £15 with OAP`s etc paying £10. To ask anymore to pay more is just clouded business thinking and those promotions who do charge £20 across the board without concession seemed to be thinking lets screw what little customers we have left for as much as we can, lets face it most Championship crowds season on season are dwindling and moves like this will see one or two clubs at this level struggle, sadly I believe Berwick will be one. It is to be hoped there will be a reconsideration of this, time will tell. Many supporters I spoke to last night before during and after the meeting seemed to be of the same thinking, this season many will pick and choose the meetings and if last night was anything to go by if Berwick start losing at home they wont bother at all so to that end its played one lost one. I personally didn't renew my season ticket for the first time in the last five seasons, it seems many followed suit. The good news for Berwick is that they wont have to face a team as good as Glasgow every week, but a home defeat to Edinburgh and then Redcar will have some voting with their feet and what is sure is that nothing empties a stadium quicker than a few home defeats. As for the meeting, very impressed by Glasgow, after many years of trying and much money being thrown at it, I think this Glasgow has what it takes to become Championship Champions. As for Berwick a lack of heat winners and heat advantages at home just wont do and one look at the scoring charts will tell you where the weak links are, that will need addressing, either the riders need to change or the club will need to change the riders. -

Well is out this time and off to the Czech Republic to race in a meeting that starts at 9am. His non-appearance would lead to an FIM ban apparently. -

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the Cook/Basso incident, you can bet it will be good for business the next time they meet. -
We have made an early decision to postpone Monday’s Premiership fixture against Leicester at the East of England Arena. The forecast has been monitored throughout today and the situation hasn’t changed.
-
So is Pedersen riding tomorrow or not, nothing on the Peterborough site so very poor PR from the club as they must know what going on by now. First test for new boss Phil Morris, if Pedersen`s a no show than its an automatic 28 day ban surely.

18pt max for Nicki in Poland so it's safe to say he is fit, no reason therefore he can't take his place in the next Peterborough match.
-
Under the circumstances Berwick can be very proud of their efforts tonight.
-
Its 3 out of 3 for Nicki in Poland tonight.
-
Berwick could very well be on the wrong end of a hammering tonight.

Josh Embelton now out of tonights match with Kai Ward coming in.

Team news for tonights match at Leicester, taken from Berwick`s Twitter page Archie Freeman will be replaced by George Congreve and we will utilise rider replacement for Mason Watson. Good news for the Bullets, Josh Embelton will ride today and Bailey Fellows will take the number eight race jacket as cover!

Taken from Facebook Archie Freemen, who suffered a broken leg in his first race for Berwick Bandits Speedway Bullets in their defeat at Belle Bue Colts this afternoon. Mum Gillian said: “Archie is currently sleeping off sedation, he's had a leg manipulation due to large amount of swelling from leg break of tib and fib. He will hopefully have an op in the morning and will spend 5 to 7 days in hospital. “Will keep you all updated xxx”

Looking at social media it seems Archie Freeman may have a broken leg.

So basically we screwed up everyone. To be honest anyone thinking about signing Kasprazk mustn't know to much.
