  1. In their Berrington Lough days, Berwick had a double decker every Saturday night, it was virtually empty on virtually every occasion.
  2. I`ve said for many seasons that nobody should be paying more than Β£15 at Championship level, Β£1 per race seems about right to me. You get the feeling with some promotions know that they have a hard chore of customers who they know will turn up pretty much every week and are quite happy to screw them every season with ever increasing admission prices. Cost is an issue, as is irregular racing, its very easy to find other things to do on a race night.
  3. If the management have been blind sided as you suggest, then they shouldn't be management.
  4. Visa issues will take way more than seven days to sort out, team changes to navigate around visa issues however could be done in way less time.

A seven-day suspension of membership has been imposed on Workington Speedway to give them time to overcome these issues. Said BSP Chairman, Rob Godfrey: β€œWe are happy with the progress being made by the Club in sorting these issues and I anticipate that there will be a speedy resumption to racing at Workington.” The suspension does mean that Workington’s matches at Berwick on June 28, Oxford on July 2 and Redcar on July 4 will be postponed.

  7. Without being hypo sceptical, a huge shake up for the sport has been promised for many a year, promised but as yet not delivered. Though to be fair its difficult for the decision makers to see the problems when your head is buried in the sand.
  8. Thoughts with the Birmingham fans at this difficult time. Maybe he was signed as he still has his Brummies kevlars in the workshop, whether he can still fit in them is another matter.
  9. If young Ashton reads this forum and sees sixteen pages dedicated to himself, he`ll never believe he was that good.
  10. It's on the Berwick site so it must be true.😁
  11. Flew back tonight and will get checked out and full assessment in the next day or two
  12. I believe Leon has broken his left shoulder so will spend time out of the Glasgow team.
  13. Welcome if surprising win as most of us thought it would be an away win, especially after the loss of Cook, who by my reckoning must miss next Saturday`s match with Workington.
  14. Leon Flint has crashed today while racing in Germany, currently on way to hospital for a check up.

  16. Very different day weather wise today. Thoroughly enjoyed last night and looking forward to later. I`ve seen some people had issues with getting in and issues with their tickets. I had no issues, yes there was a queue at the bar but that was to be expected. All in all a very successful night.
  17. Holder is riding in a SGP qualifier tomorrow afternoon in Germany.

  20. Sadly Sam Hagon`s hopes of qualifying for this years SGP2 series ended in the Czech Republic today, to his credit he finished in 7th place with 9pts.
