Update on Nicolai Klindt INJURY UPDATE As many of you are probably aware of, Nicolai had a very nasty crash on Sunday in the Polish League, where his team mate ran into him from behind. This resulted in a trip to the hospital and they found a fracture on his lower arm. Monday morning he went to Guardian Clinic in Konin, who took care of his neck injury last year. There he had an MRI scan that came back with a possible fracture on his C5 vertebra in his neck. Due of the uncertainty of the injury, he awaited a further CT scan, so that he could get a clearer picture of the injury. Yesterday morning he was consulted by Dr. Adrian Szkudlarek, who advised whilst the fracture is stable, it is located in a very worrying place, which means that it wont be a few weeks in a neck brace, but will be at least 3 months. This means Nicolai’s 2024 season is now over. Today he will have an operation on his arm and remain at Guardian Clinic for the coming weeks, to ensure he has the best rehabilitation possible, so that he can come back even stronger! And he still hasn't, Torun had no rider at No1 in their meeting with Krosno which they lost 60-30.

Decent afternoon for two Glasgow riders in Poland today, Leon Flint scored 7+1 and James Pearson scored 13 in Czestochwa`s 54-36 home win against Leszno.

Busy couple of days coming up for Freddie Hodder, tomorrow he races for his Polish club Torun in their away match at Krosno, before taking his place on Wednesday night in the NDLRC at Poole where he will race in the No11 position.

There`ll be a statement either by Nicolai himself or part of his team tomorrow afternoon with an update on his injuries.

Almost a brilliant bit of team riding there from Pawlicki, deserved the 1-5.

Freddie Hodder was an unused reserve for Team GB today in the European Junior Championship in Pila, the meeting was won by Poland but there was a creditable 3rd place the Team GB behind Team Seden who came second.

Whilst not denigrating Jason`s efforts last night, its worth considering that he was gifted his third place in Heat 7 and when giving a helping hand for his second place in Heat 2 after the two Glasgow riders got in each others way in turn one of lap one. Honestly, I don`t see him as much of an improvement on Hodder, but you are correct in pointing out that it may do Hodder some good by taking him out of the team as his confidence must be rock bottom at the minute.

Its very unlikely you will ever win a meeting with only 5 race wins, that was Berwick`s un-doing.

Changes are afoot, well one change anyway.

His reputation went before him, this time round however he has zero chance at qualifying by right and next to zero chance of a wild card pick and his ego will stop him attempting to qualify through the qualifying rounds for 2026, so at SGP level Tai is finished, a spent force, an also ran.

Tai will find all the answers he needs in the mirror.

Very good day for Leon Flint in the Extraleague Under-24 today, he has top scored for his club Czestochowa with 12+1 from 6 rides. Sadly his side went down 56-33 to home side Stal Gozow, in the same meeting James Pearson scored 5 from 5.

Delighted for Leon Flint who has qualified for this years SGP2 series after he came through his qualifying round in Macon France last night as I know it was high on his list of achievements for this season. The first of the three finals will be held at Malilla Sweden this coming Friday, the second final will be at Riga Latvia on the 6th of September with the third final at Torun Poland on the 27th of September.
