  1. Fair point, and something that Dudek should've done, so for failure to do that he deserves his ban, though as I have posted before I don't think for one minute he intended to cheat deliberately.
  2. Great to see that a rider has gone through the PL and now made it to SGP, though as Arson Fire asks, how have Somerset reached new heights.
  3. One positive, is that I think we can cross him off the list when the 2015 Berwick race jackets are handed out.
  4. Like it or not, Harris chose to go through the qualifier route, and made to next years GP series. All credit to him.
  5. Now that Jason Doyle has qualified for next year SGP series, will that lesson the chances of Ward getting a GP pick, should he need one of course.
  6. Edberg is not my favourite rider, but to be fair to the lad he has done a decent job since coming into the team, he replaced Liam Carr and I think there`s not doubt he has scored more than Carr would've. Also there are other attractions to getting Edberg into the team. Maybe a reserve pairing of Edberg and Barrett, both Berwick assets.
  7. Dis-agree, even with the prat Cook, Edinburgh have been top for longest, and finished as top team, I think and hope they will win the play-offs. Maybe Mr Cook was high on the delights of winning at Berwick last night that clouded his judgement when posting his tweet.
  8. I agree but for the good of the sport, and as a deterrent to other riders who may see Dudek getting away with a complete ban I hope he serves his year. In some ways I think Dudek is fortunate to get a ban of only a year, it could've been longer.
  9. I agree it was an excellent comeback from Edinburgh and in the end they deserved their win.
  10. Craig Cook @the_cookstar ยท 10h Stick that in yer pipe and smoke it! This drive home back from the hole is much better with 3 points in the bag bye bye bandits Do you mean this little beauty, IMO Cook is the top rider in the PL, and once again this season he has lead the Monarchs superbly, but there`s a way to win and a way to lose. Sadly Cook doesn't come over very well with tweets like this, its clear he doesn't like Berwick or its track, might be an idea to keep things like that to yourself Craig.
  11. Dudek can appeal after six months that he year ban be shortened, coincidently that might happen just before the start of the Polish season, I hope any appeal be rejected and the rider serves his full year ban.
  12. I agree, Berwick have had a decent season, we have deserved our place in the play-offs and even managed to win some away meetings. I like the idea of a big hitting No1 and always have done, however if your going down that route you need a top set of reserves. Berwick this season went for strength in depth and it worked. I hope they go down the same route next year, but we will need new riders if the team is to improve.
  13. Unless there is a strange set of results between Edinburgh and Workington, Berwick`s play-off ambitions are over for this year. Fair play to Edinburgh, only providing 6 race winners and your still winning the meeting takes a bit of doing but that's what happened last night, no coincidence that their fortunes changed once Cook got going, but their real star was Snedden. Three crucial falls while in scoring positions for Edberg, Vissing and Bellego cost Berwick dear, Doolan again was Berwick`s top rider but leading by 10pts at the end of HT10 and going on to lose needs looking at, not the first time that Berwick have lost the second half of the meeting. But the promotion can look back on an improving season in 2014, hopefully we will improve still further for 2015.
  14. In that same meeting Franc scored seven from four including two race wins, I`m sure the promotion will have done their homework to get the best possible guest, as in the reserve position our guest will have to score good points which I`m sure Wethers would've done.
  15. Who on there brother, Ward yes, but Mr Rising hasn't done anything to receive the kind of childish remarks some have posted on here.
  16. Simots scored 9+2 for Plymouth at Berwick in May, that was from seven rides. I agree Franc in a reserve position would've been a good choice, hopefully Simota will do the job tonight.
  17. Cloudy start but there are signs of things brightening up which is the forecast, obviously now we are in the play-offs a 3pt home win is a must. Hopefully Snedden will be over his illness and back in the Monarchs team, if he isn't the Edinburgh promotion will need a better guest than Max Clegg, who they used last night, if they are to get anything from Shielfield tonight.
  18. Thirty nine points round Armadale is something of an achievement for Berwick, though sadly there were no points to be had. Creditable scores from Doolan, Edberg and Wethers, while our No1, a former Edinburgh rider didn't bother the scorers to much, though to be fair to Vissing he does have a big meeting in Poland on Sunday to concentrate on, certainly way more important than representing our club at Sheffield in the PLRC. How he got to be considered good enough to do Ht15 beggars belief.
  19. Cant we get this thread back to slagging off the drunk Ward, that at least is something we can all agree on.
  20. Reasonable is my middle name. It would be nice if other people within speedway posted on here, after all its not all bad.
  21. I`ve always thought that Philip Rising posted on here as a speedway fan, albeit a speedway fan with connections, but a speedway fan non the less. Sad others aren't able to see that.
  22. With no Snedden, Berwick must surely fancy their chances of dominating this meeting in the reserve positions at least.
  23. Its mostly been a week of low cloud, mist and drizzly rain for Berwick, happily the forecast between now and Saturday is an improving one with any drizzle moving away by early Saturday morning. After that Saturday will be a dry day with some brightness.
