Patryk Dudek Tests Positive For Banned Substance
screm replied to lastword's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I`d like to find an argument against this but I agree, Dudek if guilty should be punished, though I am sure he took his banned substance unwittingly. Still think its a bit unfair to punish his club, I`m not sure if Dudek`s club in Sweden has made the play0offs there, if they have should they look at taking the points from his scores there. -
PETERBOROUGH have seen their Premier League play-off aspirations dealt a blow by the loss of in-form Ales Dryml. The Czech ace aggravated his long-standing back problem during the club's disappointing 59-36 derby defeat at Ipswich last night (Thursday). He has been signed off for three days on medical advice which means he will miss crucial away clashes at Scunthorpe tonight (Friday) and Newcastle on Sunday. Co-promoter Trevor Swales said: "Ales has had his critics at times, but his form lately has been very good and he will certainly be missed. "He is riding through the pain of a bad back and it has got to the point where he needs a few days off." Panthers' team plans for the trip to Scunthorpe will be finalised this morning. They are also without number one Lasse Bjerre who races in the Danish Under 21 Final. Newcastle man Stuart Robson has been drafted in as a guest. Taken from Peterborough's site and makes the Panthers stronger IMO.

Wasn't the cut-off date last week, I believe it was on the day the FIM handed out the suspension to Ward, causing a touch of despair from a south coast team.

Patryk Dudek Tests Positive For Banned Substance

IMO it would be unfair to punish Zielona Gora, what have the club done wrong, not unless they supplied the banned substance to Dudek, which I haven't seen reported before. Its the rider who is at fault and only the rider who should be punished. -
Taken from Berwick Advertiser site, doesn't look like we will be seeing young Liam on a bike for quite some time. Local speedway rider Liam Carr has revealed how he expects to be sidelined for ‘a considerable length of time’ after sustaining serious knee injuries recently. Carr, who started out the season with home-town Berwick, was riding as a guest for Sheffield when he crashed at the Yorkshire side’s Owlerton track a fortnight ago. “I have damaged both the cruciate ligaments in my right knee and the tendons have also snapped,” he said. “I also dislocated my knee and I was in some pain. “I have been told it will be six to nine months before I am even able to walk properly again, so I don’t think I will be back on a bike for a while. “My leg is in plaster at the moment, I am on crutches and I am due to have an operation, but I don’t know exactly when that will be. “This season is a write-off now, but it also looks like I will miss a lot of next season as well. I will be sidelined for a considerable time.” Father Lee said: “It’s a bad injury and I have told him he can’t take any chances. I don’t think he will be back on a bike for at least 16 months.” Carr said losing his place in the Berwick team to the returning Alex Edberg had ‘added to the blow,’ but it has not put him off the sport. “I want to come back fitter and stronger,” he said. “Ironically, this has come at a time when I was just starting to find some form. “I had been having a few problems with my engine, but I had been scoring a few points with Buxton in the National League when this happened. “I haven’t cut all my ties with Berwick - I am sure I will be back riding for the Bandits one day.”

Who Will Make The Playoffs ?
screm replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You could probably get into the play-offs, and finish all your PL matches by the cut off date, then go on to win the PL title, only then to be over taking by a team trying to finish their PL fixtures. -

All indications are that Patryk Dudek would lose points in two matches, Enea, faculty. For this reason, certain maintenance can be players Betardu Sparta Wrocław. Home of the Speedway Sports Commission has still not issued the provisions on doping detected on . Recall that the results of the "B" sample test confirmedthat the Club's illegal doping agent took 225 junior. . He was threatened with a suspension of two years and subtracting the points scored in the contest after testing (June 22). -The FIM Anti-Doping Code, regulating the effects detected in athletes of prohibited substances is associated with such an event severe consequences in terms of awards, titles, medals and points. It provides, first of all, cancellation of athletic performance (and lose any medals, points and prizes) obtained by a player in which use has been detected illegal measures. With adjustment of the Codex, it appears that in the present case the Board Patrick once Dudka it guilty must come to automatic cancellation of cross-country points scored during the competition, in which the sample was taken for testing and found a violation of anti-doping. -In addition article 10.8 Anti-Doping Code stipulates that in addition to the automatic invalidation of the results achieved in the competition, after which the result of the test samples dopingowego gave a positive result, in accordance with article 9 (automatic invalidation of individual results), all other results on compete from the date on which the positive sample was collected (regardless of whether it has been collected in the course of the competition or out-of-competition), or other doping violation occurredto launch any of the provisional suspension or prohibition of the start (in this case, the athlete has been provisionally suspended GKSŻ decision on 8 August 2014) will be, if the principle of fairness required that will not be otherwise, the void with all consequences, including forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes. This means that the points scored by a player during a match round 9 DMP round on 22 June 2014 between teams Steel Gorzów Wielkopolski and Falubaz Zielona Gora should be cancelled. With a large degree of probability will be cancelled also points by a player during a match 10 round DMP between Sparta Betard Wrocław and Zielona Góra, Falubazem. Teams competing in the tournament for DMP should therefore reckon with changes in the table before the final round of the Europa League draw and- said Luke Horn, a lawyer for the GKSŻ polskizuzel.pl. I did and got this. -
Sad anybody would put anyone on ignore, is this forum really that serious.

If it is just rumour then Rye House themselves can stop them, I take they do press releases. -
Patryk Dudek Tests Positive For Banned Substance

I have no doubt that Dudek took the banned substance unwittingly, whether the Polish authorities will or should see it that way is a different matter. IMO each professional sportsman is responsible for what goes inside their body, I`ve some sympathy for the rider in this case but there cannot be degrees of wrongness, so sadly Dudek should be banned. -
He was due to have an after meeting practice after last Saturdays meeting with Redcar, I left after the PL meeting so maybe someone could confirm if this happened, how he felt after that would determine if he was to be out any longer. I hope he doesn't rush back, as we need to him to be ready to take extra rides if needed, also we are in a strong position to cover his absence with guests. A fit Mathew Wethers could be a trump card for us come the play-offs.

Berwick couldn't use September 13th as a rain off night, we only have two home meetings in the PL left, Workington and Scunthorpe, both of whom already have fixtures for that night. Workington have a double header meeting at home to Sheffield, while Scunthorpe a due at Rye House the same night.

Kus must be riding with real confidence right now, and there`s no reason to think he wont be just as effective in the top five, hopefully when he returns Wethers can pick up where Kus left off, with some big scores at reserve. Kus`s progress this season has been a large reason for Berwick having such a decent season, those that thought contrary must have......issues. -
No meeting at Berwick on that date at present.
-
Yesterdays European Under-21 meeting, due to take place in Rybnik with David Bellego in it, was rained off just before the scheduled start. The Track Racing Commission for FIM Europe will announce a new date in due course. Here`s hoping its not on a night where Berwick have a fixture. Also congratulations to Berwick`s Leon Flint who finished 3rd in 150cc British Youth Championships yesterday at Rye House.

I recorded it and watching it back right now, there is just as much concern for NKI as there is for Hancock, mostly more comments about Hancock as some idiot has their camera just a yard or two from Hancock who is sitting in the doorway of the ambulance.

It is to Machins credit that he has made himself available to the new Sheffield promotion as a guide of their first season.

Simply don't get the knives reference, perhaps its those damn insecurities again. My request is a simple one, if your going to put information out to your customers, and to those further afield, please try to get as much of it as accurate as you can, when I say you I don't mean you, as I am in no doubt if you had anything to do with newsletters etc it would be word perfect. -

Vissing was excellent at the start of the season, and made it clear he was after the No1 position, agreed that in the last week or two his performances have dropped off a bit, if he is looking at a bit of competition from his teammates for the No1 jacket then he has that now. Certainly come the play-offs we will need every rider hitting top form. On a side issue it was good to see Liam Carr out and about at the meeting last night, albeit on crutches. -

Decent meeting last night, Redcar looked capable of getting a point right up to Ht15. Well lead by Summers, and backed up by Skidmore, sadly for the Bears they were much of a muchness after that. For Berwick Matej Kus was quite superb, gamble of a signing at the start of the season my eye, IMO he would be the first rider signed up for 2015. All the other riders contributed well to another 3pt home win and the push for the play-offs continues. -

Proof, if ever it were needed that this poster is the oracle, the standard bearer, to which we all have to look up to. Always difficult to judge when a rider is out on their own, Berwick must ensure Wethers is completely fit to return, going to reserve as he now does for September there will every chance he will have extra rides to take and he will have a big roll to play come play-off time, we have seen the benefit of having a big scoring reserve with first Jensen and then Kus. -
Absolutely, anyone who gets behind the wheel of a car and drive after drinking deserve all they get IMO, as in this case does Ward.
