  1. Wards is a fantastic rider, and could go on to be World Champ. However so far in his career he has made just as many headlines off track than on.
  2. I find it amazing that whatever the news Ward received yesterday the solution was to head to the nearest bar and start drinking.
  3. If he`s over he`s over, there can be no degrees of wrongness in this. Middlo needs to grow himself a backbone and take a stand.
  4. Will Poole stand by him, surely as our biggest club they must set the standard. As others have said what a plonker.
  5. I shy away from nothing but experience has taught me not to take your posts with any seriousness, sad as at times you seem quite intelligent, and for a Berwick thread that's quite a novelty. Ok, new faces, any new supporters is a good thing, and if they become regulars then so much the better. I know you were ridiculed for bringing new people along but that's a good thing, this team deserves to be seen by the largest possible audience, after the last few seasons where we have had not a lot to shout about we now have a winning team, hopefully the people of Berwick and surrounding area will recognize that.
  6. For some the highlight of the night was winning the meeting, for some would've been the performance of Steen Jensen, for others maybe the pies or the burgers, but for this soldier it was undoubtedly the New Holland flags, how magnificent were they. Sadly the trolley doing the lines, and not so sadly the pipe band was missing, but hopefully not forgotten about, I suppose there`s only so much excitement you can take in one night. Sarcasm met with sarcasm.
  7. It was noticeable that there was quite a number of you fans getting mentioned on the Bandit line, whether they were here on holiday or actually from the area I wouldn't know, but hopefully once they see speedway live they will come back many times.
  8. If your not going Tuesday, you have to get yourself there a week on Tuesday especially giving the opposition.
  9. Why boycott meetings involving Poole, surely not over the signing of Benji Compton, no disrespect to the kid but its Benji Compton, who, with the best will in the World is hardly ever likely to be much better than he is right now.
  10. Less than Tuesday put it that way, so the stampede to Shielfield after Riga was called off didn't happen though I hear the stampede from Riga to Daugavpils is proving to be quite entertaining, The Latvian GP wasn't the only meeting rained off. Matek Kus`s Czech Pairs meeting was off to, Kus did try to get back to Berwick yesterday but with him in Czech, his van at Luton it was a non-starter. Whether Matej will be called up again should last nights meeting be re-arranged isn't knowing. Its been mentioned on another thread that Vissing & Kus might be missing for Friday`s trip to Edinburgh.
  11. Any kind of point at Rye House would be an achievement, our record there isn't exactly great, though it seems these are troubled times at Hoddesdon so if we are ever going to get points next Sunday seems a good time to start.
  12. The form Berwick are in at home, things could get quite messy for Rye House next Saturday, though there`s every chance they will get their own back round their own track next Sunday.
  13. Very impressive performance from Berwick, giving the weakness of the Berwick team I`m sure Somerset were targeting last night as an away win but with Steen Jensen leading the way a point was all they could muster. Jensen was quite amazing, picking himself off the deck twice to record a near faultless maximum, what is even more of a surprise is that there is a chance he could be one of our reserves when the averages change.
  14. Maybe its time that making the rules, and making sure they are adhered be put into the hands of an independent body. I attack the post and not the poster, its forum rules.
  15. I actually find it quite sad you`ve trawled through all the rubbish we post on here, not feeling insecure are you. Anyway well done. I am at work now, just started thirteen shifts in fourteen days.
  16. Don't think your question, is out of curiosity, more loaded, especially because you know as well as I do Bellego and especially Kus have been so good, my post was more speedway in general rather than Berwick in particular. If, Kus for example hadn't quite had been so good, maybe the Czech Authorities wouldn't have called him back for this meeting tonight. As for Bellego, he is riding in the second of a World Final tomorrow, so I can just get my head around that though in the case of both these riders, it does Berwick no good tonight to have two of their best riders in Poland and Czech Republic respectively. Amazing, wasn't it you that was against signing Kus, and have been proved oh so wrong, I`m sure you have been delighted to be so wrong to.
  17. Greg Hancock Nicki Pedersen Matej Zagar Andzejs Lebedevs Lebedevs to beat Woffinden
  18. Certainly as far as this season is concerned yes, though if we had started the season with PL fixtures we might've been that bit further down the PL fixture list.
  19. I am sure there will be Berwick supporters giving tonight's meeting a miss due to missing riders, as Paulco says its getting out of hand in the PL, so maybe its time the rule makers got tougher with how and why teams get guest and R/R facilities so easily. Ok, it might mean teams not signing certain riders but if that means the same seven riders turn up week in week out is that necessarily a bad thing.
  20. Play-offs seem to be the thing nowadays, though I`m not in favour of them for the PL, for the reasons you give, plus I cant get my head round a team finishing sixth can become Champions. Yes they are the rules everyone plays under but for me the Champions are the one with the most points at the end of the season, maybe we should go straight into PL racing at the start of the season and have the lesser competitions at the end.
  21. We learned, only late last night with further details coming through during this morning, that whilst practicing on the Miramont circuit in France for Sunday’s World Longtrack Championship round, unfortunately Dimitri suffered a crash which resulted in him being taken to hospital where he underwent an operation on an arm/wrist break and is now in plaster. His mother Maguy reports that the operation went well however that Dimitri is again feeling very low given this is his second big crash of the year, and once again he looks set to sit out much of the season. At this point we do not know exact details as to the severity of the break or any associated recovery period. We are sure you will join us in sending young Dimitri and his family our thoughts and very best wishes for a speedy recovery. Taken from the Glasgow site, poor kid hasn't had a lot of luck this season, hopefully he will be back before the season finishes.
