  1. Weather forecast fairly reasonable for this match, there will be drizzle over night and possibly into tomorrow morning, but by lunchtime that should all have gone leaving a bright and dry afternoon and evening. I hope Stead will be fit,and be at Berwick tomorrow,he is a class act in the PL.However if hes not able to give his best I hope Sheffield go with a guest, theres plenty of decent alternatives. Claus Vissing.
  2. Other than Berwick and Sheffield there are four other PL tracks racing tomorrow night,so theres reasonable scope to bring in an adequate guest for Stead. But please Sheffield no r/r.
  3. Amazed to read of problems with the Redcar track, given numerous posts by the great and good from Redcar about the Newcastle track,I thought their track was the mecca, the gold medalists if you will of the PL.
  4. No disrespect to Sheffield but this is a must win for Berwick,no ifs no buts,a must win.
  5. Never really thought it before but now I think you are as daft as your posts suggest.
  6. Giving his performance last night at Wolverhampton,ex Bandit Robert Branford hasn't half given some PL promoters a nudge.
  7. We`d all like another rider in the team,Alden wouldve been in my 2013 team all day long, but I dont think changes are what is needed right now.Theres no rider out there who could come in right now with a view to a 1 in 1 out change, therefore it might take more than one change to get the desired effect and thats just not going to happen, rightly in my view.
  8. Edberg flies in and out for Berwick meetings,as does Aspegren.Bellego and Barrett are the only two Berwick based riders.
  9. Home win,if Ashworths back or we use a guest then it will be a home win by 16-18pts,if we go with r/r then it will be a home win by considerably more.
  10. If Berwick decided to loan out Edberg for the 2013 season, that loan money couldve gone to Edinburgh for Dyer, but Berwick went with one of their own.Personally Im happy we went with Edberg, what we need now of course is to see Alex do it where it counts most,on track. He is capable of hitting big scores at home but needs to produce away from Shielfield to,and no amount of postings on social networking sites will do that. A big score this saturday and a metaphorical up yours to his doubters is whats needed.
  11. Im quite happy to go with guests to cover Ashworth,Alden stepped in last week and theres no reason why the club shouldnt call on his services again. If there is a crisis of confidence with Edberg then it may be better for him and the club to stand down untill he finds his feet again, though how he goes about that is another matter, time on the bike would seem the natural thing but right now thats where the difficulty lies, and a ready replacement isnt obvious to me given the averages. To sum up Id stick with Edberg, and hope he comes through this by scoring points for Berwick.
  12. Oh for goodness sake have a word with yourself,I wouldnt know of any arrangement between our promotion and Edbergs dad,and in truth care even less. His Edbergs points or lack of that my main worry.
  13. I thought everyone knew. Edbergs performance was dire last saturday,he looked uninterested and slow.Must admit I didnt hear and abuse towards Edberg but Im not excatly close to my friends over on the exit of turn two,who you and Teal choose to abuse.
  14. Dont think theres any suggestion that Edberg or Edbergs dad has any say on team matters or anythingelse to do with the running of Berwick Speedway. My biggest concern is the points he scores for the team, and on the front its a case of can and must do very much better.
  15. The riders have asked the track team for less grip in future meetings.
  16. If it is indeed true that Edberg was "scared" last night then thats very concerning for the team as it puts extra pressure on the other riders especially Barrett who is Edbergs reserve partner. It might be time for Edberg to be stood down from the untill such time he has rediscovered his form and confidence as right now his scoring is no good to man nor team.
  17. Lets not hear Rossiter complain about the derth in the future of British speedway talent now hes taking the jump to work for one of Team GBs compeditors.
  18. I didnt say change the track every week, and the track has been as you suggest the same every week so far this season, and the riders have shown little signs of adapting. They were slow out of the starts last week against Redcar and were equally slow out of the starts last night against Edinburgh so thats not working either.
  19. Dyer will be on a high, given his performances of late,so is an excellent choice.
  20. Any decent track team should be able to change the track conditions, theres seven days till the next time theres speedway. One worrying note,Alex Edberg has posted on Facebook,"Was scared today sorry everyone",if that isnt being lost in translation then thats very concerning.
  21. To be honest if the materials not there to make things work, then even Complin would struggle to find a pass.Im sure changes will be made to the track over the next few weeks to give the riders more oppotunity for passing, thing is though anymore home defeats for Berwick and some fans might not be there to see it.
  22. The loss of Ashworth was always going to make the task harder but Berwicks lack of gating skills and was once again the achilies heel for the home side.Time and time again they were left at the gates and once again on a track that proved very very difficult to make any passing moves their chances of winning was gone. That said Cook and Vissing were excellent, and if theres a better No1 than Cook right now in the PL I love to see him,the guy is on fire right now.Hes back up by Vissing who if anything has made the Edinburgh team stronger after he replaced the visaless Masters.Add in the fact Edinburgh have a reserve who can be slotted into races anytime and score points and you have in ingredients of a winning team. Smith,Wethers and especially Bellego can be proud of their nights work, maybe Barrett to who at least was in amongst things in most of his races.Asprgren and Edberg had nights to forget, especially Edberg who looked woeful, slow from the gate and uninterested in racing and no matter how many racesuits he throws at the team his form and position in the team must be coming to the attention of the promotion.Edberg could be a big scorer at reserve and at Shielfield especially so whatever the issues are they need ironed out asap. The night was marred by an untidy looking crash in the 1st race of the NJL meeting, with Farbaby and McBain coming down, after extensive treatment to both riders on track the meeting was abandoned.Hopefully both riders will have escaped any serious injury and they will be up and at`em very soon.
  23. If its still free I`ll take stupid, not as good as being an attention seeking troll, perhaps I can handle both.
