GiveusaB
2 new signings and not an Aussie insight ! LOL (admittedly not 'totally' new...) Edited July 5, 2023 by GiveusaB
Brian Buck
I think that was a mis-type by BrizHeathen! I'm pretty sure that he meant to type "will be a missed opportunity if NOT true!
Cast1rn
Why was Paul dropped by Plymouth?
SteveLyric2
As Dickson says - the opportunity of using Bowtell upto 7 times is a chance not to be missed.

MilhouseZmarzlik
Fair play to the Brummies management. Team looks much more competitive now
wtf
Team looks much more competitive now. Just got to find a way for Starke to stop breaking down, and Stefan to stop falling off. I won't hold my breath on those happening though.
Col
Looks like a stronger septet to me with experienced riders replacing inexperienced riders. So it's... Morris, Starke, Nielsen, Batchelor, Sedgeman, Bowtell, Hagon?

Lot better than starting 7.If Morris gets going like he can, they should do ok.IMO

szkocjasid
Starke & Nielsen is clearly stronger than Dan T & Joe T, but are they stronger than Dan T & Clegg? If Starke can do what he's capable of then, yes it's the strongest option, with the bonus of Bowtell at reserve! Although not sure why such a fuss is made of Bowtell being able to get 7 rides a match, only way that will happen is injuries or a couple of top 5 riders riding poorly - not what Birmingham want. More realistically it means Bowtell can get 5 rides a match & Hagon only needing to take 3.
szkocjasid
Gotta say Birmingham should be strengthened without Morris 9.26 available for guests at home & 8.82 away, which is far higher than his 2023 scoring.

Simple question. Dou you have an actual team, that you support. You are continually looking at permutations for every team in the country.

Not that szkocsid needs defending but there are plenty of speedway supporters that have no allegiance to a particular (maybe soft spots for one or two) and are just fans of the sport which sometimes enables a more objective point of view. 3

Appreciate the response @Sings4Speedway used to support Rye House, then Arena-Essex & London Lions, then Rye came back so Lakeside became my second team. Currently a neutral but hope to have a team to support again next year!

Now if you were to have a soft spot for one of the speedway clubs north of the border would it be on the east or west side of the M8? FYI on the west coast we don't put watered down brown sauce and salt on our chips, so clearly culinary wise we are far superior.

While not an Edinburgh fan, I cannot stand Glasgow, so favour the Monarchs of the Scottish teams. Kinda got a soft spot for the Brummies, think Tolley is trying so hard to make a success of it, just hope he doesn't keep losing money. I guess it's easy to root for the underdogs & it's a while since Birmingham have been anything else! Before that, the Brummies were usually near the top of whichever league they entered: even topping the Elite League one year.
