Last week’s edition arrived yesterday (Thursday) for me plus it was torn to bits. Nine days to travel less than 20 miles from where it is printed. We even have Sunday deliveries now to "catch up" and meet their agreed contract with the Government... Luckily I have three Supermarkets and an ex WHSmiths, who still stock it, within 10 mins... Every Thursday on sale in each...
RoundTheBoards
God knows when I'll see yesterday's Star. Last Thursday's arrived on Tuesday this week (5 days late) along with the previouis Thursday's (12 days late)

Log a complaint with the Post Office - it's just been taken over, you never know, things may change. I wouldn't hold my breath though. Tim Templeton
I understand that it may be Royal Mail that needs approaching, not the Post Office. The Post Office and Royal Mail are both independent privatised separate businesses. I complained about postal services to the PO, and they told me to go to RM! Preston Comet
More of you should try the digital subscription. I know its not convenient for everyone tho. Id say if you have a tablet then go for it, make the change... Like Speedway, get into the modern day!!!

Unfortunately,"Like Speedway, get into the modern day!!!" I don't think so, Speedway will have to do something really special to bring it forward, so that is comparable with the 60's, 70's, 80's etc.. I honestly believe that my generation of Speedway Supporters had the best the Sport had to offer years ago. Sorry - but that is how I see it.
a4poster
It is the same story in Exeter. I feel sorry for the guys at Pinegen whose business is suffering through no fault of their own but due to the incompetence of Royal Fail. Mick Bratley Posted yesterday at 09:16 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:16 AM I spoke to the Royal Mail guy who delivered a parcel to me yesterday about it. He said they don’t make any money out of letters so parcels are prioritised as that makes money. He also said he offered to deliver mail that was stacking up for our area but they wouldn’t sanction the overtime. I don’t want to get the digital version because I like the physical version and my Grandson likes to have all the old copies, but I feel I’m being forced down that route now. I do feel sorry for the guys at Pinegen, the star is an important staple of our sport and I’ve been getting it since I was a kid.

frigbo
The issue must be down to local sorting offices. In Swindon, I haven't had a late delivery for months.

Thursday's Star has turned up today (Saturday) Lucky you, still waiting for my copy. Don't tell Pinegen, sshh, but when it's Iate I've often bought a copy from newsagents & passed it on when my original arrived, though it sometimes isn't on any shop shelves. Online vers not for me, despite using (apparently) 'super fast' fibre optic broadband, the reliability & variations in speed have to be experienced to be beleived. E.g. I've watched live events from all over the world with perfect picture & in-sync sound. At other times can take a 'mere' 5 hours for an email to arrive at the other side of Hull, quicker to walk, say what I need to say, then walk back. I too prefer the hard copy vers, spending as I am much of my work days staring into a screen. That said, internet services outside the city aren't just fast, but connect pretty much instantly, no wee scrolling blue circle. So sadly the likes of BSN aren't for me, I have watched Prem matches, SGPs & SON's on TNT at a friend's house, they being Netflix & Sky subscribers. Saturday update: stil no Star, none in Asda, Tesco nor TJ Jones (formally WH Smith) neither. Sigh....
