I'd be more bothered about how he performs next weekend.

It would be good if BSN did an interview with him next Friday

Hi all, I’m new to the forum. Thought I’d add my observations from last night’s practice.

Cook didn’t do many laps but did look fast when he was out on track. Hume was getting bis bike dialled in and was getting quicker every time he came out. Hagon did a lot of starts and was attacking the bends, especially the third and looked good. Kemp did the most laps and looked very good trying lots of lines and lots of wheelies for the crowd. Borke looks like he is recovering well and was exciting to watch. I spoke with him after and he is very happy to be back on the bike and Back at Berwick.

All in all it was a positive evening and I think if everything pans out and the Bandits aren’t plagued by injury it’s a really good team.

He was at p and p . That’s a start . That alone proved a lot of people wrong and to be honest reading some of the stuff on here if the real Craig cook rides for the season I hope he uses his ability to quieten the doubters and the haters . Never know Berwick could surprise people this season. If the team stay injury free🍀I think the tail end of the squad could be the trump card . Onwards and upwards one meeting at a time

He looks less than impressed in the team photos.

All the 5 in the back row look pretty miserable but the 3 in front look fairly happy. Maybe the back row had to stand too long for the photo.

100%. Riding for the mighties is definitely one of the more stress provoking things life can chuck at a person.

Good interview with Criag Cook in this weeks Speedway star talking about his on and off track issues over the last few years and how he’s trying to find stability for both. Good open and honest interview from him which he didn’t have share with everyone but fair play to him for doing so.

Bastian being given rest time to get fit.  Jack Smith coming in as 28 day injury reolacement

Bastian clearly isn’t fit and needs time to recover, understandable.

Signing Jack Smith as a replacement however is quite a head scratcher.

Clearly not lot riders out there. Not a Smith fan but can’t any worse going by what we have seen from Borke.

Puts Hagon in to the main body of the team, which he doesn’t look ready for at this point in time unfortunately, been really surprised at how much he has struggled so far and I hope it’s just a blip.

We have a very long tail it seems.

I think it might actually be a good window for Jack Smith. Berwick over the next month are away at Edinburgh, Glasgow, Redcar, Scunthorpe and Poole. He can score well at Redcar, Glasgow and Scunthorpe and had a good meeting at Berwick last year for Glasgow so it might work out.

Don’t talk rubbish, he’s been dropped nothing to do with getting fit.

All you need to do is read Bastians post on his Facebook page, he’s not happy at all. However does work quite well for Berwick to bring smith in as a “28 day replacement” as Kildemand will get a proper average and smith can be replaced by someone with a much higher average.

Finding that rider with much higher average might be a problem.(unless Jamie has someone at Oxford going spare.)

Plus Jack Smith is likely to score well at Glasgow and probably Redcar giving Berwick a chance of nicking points  from these fixtures

Rested or Dropped it is obvious he is really struggling to be competitive,a decision has been made .

Can't see Hagon doing well in the top 5. I'd move him to 2, Kemp at 3, Hume at 4. Easier to use Kemp in heat 15, if he's not been in the previous heat imo

Think Kemp should be at 3 especially with  Heatleaders PK,CC and Kemp at home, we need to match the away Team No3 in Ht 12.Not every Team have strong No 4 for Ht 14.
