The sponsors money will have probably helped to build new toilets, refs box, the 3rd and 4th bend spectator viewing, fan club shop and other spectator facilities - all costly projects and certainly good honest care for the fans at Northside.

Week on week the promotion pledge to the fans to keep supporting. But can’t even keep the paying public in the picture instead having to hear from Berwick social media that this weeks fixture has been cancelled.

Poor communication and not fair on the fans.

Whatever the issue is it’s taking longer than the 7 days to rectify or if can even be rectified.

I have also heard that at least 2 riders and looking for new clubs.

I’ve sat back and let people crack on but after reading through page after page, I’m gonna say my bit.

The amount of people first off running there mouths saying some disgraceful things about Andrew etc is ridiculous. There’s absolutely no need for it.

People thinking they’ve got it cracked what’s going on, throwing about silly rumours just to get everybody riled up doesn’t help the situation. 
 

I suggest you’s all take a back seat, and await further information. 99% of you clearly haven’t got a clue what’s going on and think you’s do.

Wind your necks in, stop abusing the promotion that’s put their hearts and souls into bringing speedway back to the town and stop acting like an entitled bunch. 
 

The only people who should know what’s going on at this stage is the promotion, then comes sponsors and when’s the times right, the public will be updated.

Go on name them if you know everything! The riders have contracts with the club so they will have a job of moving anywhere. Surely from the last statement you made you have no interest in the wellbeing of Workington Speedway.

I was just made aware of 2 riders asking to be moved on no names were mentioned.

I would guess this is due to the lack of meetings and income.

The riders will have bills like us all.

The promotion still haven’t made a statement.

The last statement was on Cumbria Crack 2 hours ago mentioned no Berwick fixture.

Like it or not the communication to the fans is terrible.

Wondering how Steve Lawson stands in all this speculation. All the posts seem to be about the Promotion & Andrew Bain. I take it Andrew is the money behind Workington, but Steve is a named Promoter. Will both share the burden if the Promotion is charged with anything, or is it just the money man, and is Steve now liable for anything?

No the promotion can’t help the weather that was never mentioned.

But they can help being suspended from racing. Or is that the weathers fault too?

Any comment on running the Plymouth match with no insurance or licenses from the SCB/BSPA?  
 

Not taking away or making Andrew to be the bad guy but for all the good work he has done he’s cut some serious corners behind the scenes which has led to this. Hopefully can all be resolved.

I very much doubt it would have been ran without the relevant licenses insurance etc. The SCB wouldn’t have supplied the referee for a start.

4 matches cancelled with no idea as to when they can restart, if they can at all. This is the riders’ jobs you’re talking about here, to provide for their families. Of course they want out, why wouldn’t you it your boss can’t give you any work.

With the club being dissolved on the 17th they wouldn’t have. Don’t think the SCB/BSPA was made aware till more recently about the situation or found out till more recently, otherwise that match wouldn’t have happened.

We're it not such a potentially serious matter, some of the wilder statements and demands for immediate public release of private information would be laughable 

The seven-day pause in Working ton's licence is only four days in --- we'll learn what's to happen very soon, l'm pretty sure. 

One thing we should be grateful for is, Northside is a magnificent track, and the stadium has wonderful potential for development through eventual installation of lighting and some spectator cover.    Unlike the permanent loss of places such as Wolverhampton, Peterborough, etc, Northside will be there, and can hopefully push on and up again, after this unfortunate situation is resolved
