Think you need to read the statement, comets return with help from allied mobility. So thank you to the owners of Glasgow speedway 👍

Ive read it 1st Man..... With the help of..... Its a collaborative well done which i think is required. Its all about having the Club now to follow and build for the future! Some people love adding needle where its not needed.

Yes it does matter when they said they were going to give fans a clear and transparent statement.

Entitled comes to mind

How is that entitled? As @LisaColette said Workington did say they'd give a statement.

What a clown! Best sometimes when you know nothing to say nothing at all! This forum has proved one thing over the recent weeks, engage brain before spouting off.

We are here to stay!

"It’s great that Workington have been able to enter a new partnership with a blue-chip national company in Allied Mobility, which is synonymous with investing in speedway in the UK, and I’d like to thank the Facenna family for their support.”

So why is hasta la vista a clown?  It's not needle, it's a statement of fact. Tracks have often survived with the help of other owners/promoters.

Obviously I welcome the statement and I`m delighted that Workington Speedway continues, but now the dust has settled.

Exactly what was the issue.

Start time, money, visa`s, what ?.

Think it had something to do with companies house.

An expensive way to do it. They could do what they say they were going to do.

We'll see 😉 You gonna be a bit match rusty!! 🤷‍♀️

He’s not Rusty, he finished years ago….

Its the statement he made that 'saved the club', what knowledge base gives him that inclination? We are grateful for all help our sponsors add.

And in Leicester and Sheffield's case the same promoter

Much would you like to bet if it wasn’t for them you wouldn’t be riding on Saturday?

I can't help but think the BSPL who are supposed to have the interests of British Speedway at heart have been very harsh on Workington Speedway with this suspension and caused a lot of deep upset.. The club is guilty of inactivity in terms of filing necessary records something which is obvious .  The club are not in trouble financially and do not owe HMRC anything.  The owner of the club owns all the assets all of which are paid for.

If the company was struck off for not filing accounts then that is purely on them, not the BSPL. Assets of a struck of company transfer to The Crown, and would have to be bought back by the new Ltd Co. Normal day to day operating of the assets as an individual or as the sole director and sole shareholder of a limited company is no different (unless the company gets stuck off), but a Ltd Co pays less tax, especially if the individual pays higher rate tax. If the Ltd Co had any assets that were required for speedway to run (track, licence, riders, visas) then the club could not run whilst The Crown owned the assets, which again is nothing to do with BSPL. Involvement of another promotion (through sponsorship) is likely related to the quickest way to sort visas as presumably it's easier and quicker for an established company to obtain them than a new one.

Whatever the cause of the issues, it's good to see the Comets back on track (and hopefully filing accounts on time!)

Ecstatic that the comets managed to pull through the issues. Massive thank you and a great amount of gratitude to the Facennas for helping out, hopefully the beginning of a very good partnership.

Now everyone get down on Saturday and give Andrew, Steve and the comets the support they deserve. Yes, it hasn’t been made public what the issues have been behind the scenes, but, the people who need to know, know.

Less of the name calling about people trying there best to keep the sport in our town and how about getting down and backing the boys.

ps where’s 2ndbend123 hiding at now with all his “information”??
