On paper it looks like Cook has done well this season. He started the season on 6.23, and so far he has averaged 7.59.

Not enough scope in that average to improve. If it was under 7 I’d almost class him as a no brainer, but anything above would scare me off, but luckily I don’t pick the team

Been great for us don’t get me wrong, but like Kerr unless he gates he just follows the rider in front on the line for 4 laps half the time instead of trying outside lines etc. Can you send Zach Scunthorpe's way, almost unbeatable round the EWR and he does pass, would probably be no 1 especially with the team Scunthorpe have at the moment. He has said in past interviews if he couldn't ride for Poole he would want to be at Redcar. But that was a couple of years ago. If Ben is serious about becoming a works star, then needs to leave the Champ behind. If he just wants to earn a living, then could come back. Nice to have a bit of loyalty from club & rider though. When's the last time a rider got a testimonial for 10 years at the same club? Rumours of discontent in a few of the Premiership clubs whilst definitely losing Birmingham will mean changes in 2026 imo. Not saying that at all but surely at somepoint soon he’s either gotta become a 8-9pt man and challenges Lawson at the top end or he’s gotta leave to become that rider so he then gets European spots. With his experience, I would have thought he would have been a heat leader by now.

foreverblue
As I have been critical of Kerr, I must say he rode very well tonight particularly later in the meeting and on another night would have been given heat 15.
Marky_Mark
When is the transfer deadline for this season? I see that Starke’s average goes to 4.00 on 1st August. Surely that presents a great opportunity to replace him with a new foreign rider to strengthen up before the play offs?
