Couple photos from today, weather was awful! No Emil, Ellis or Brennan. Nice event though! 🏆

Nice to witness on Anglia news at 6 Chris Louis there with several riders with Craig Saul on the Mike. Well done you Witches, thoroughly deserved.

At the football last night seeing how the crowd applauded both witches and Fabio just shows how this town backs its own. Not to blow smoke up our own but what other town / city does it like Ipswich? You can say Manchester has the better football teams for sure… but Ipswich town / witches / Fabio and even Edd really does back the town and brings you to feel proud of being from Ipswich which hasn’t been the case in so many previous decades. People from Ipswich should be so proud of the entire success of Ipswich.

Top man Chris Louis. Used to love watching his dad take on my beloved Bradford in the 70s and then support him for Halifax alongside Kenny and Doug etc

Its the same here with support for United and City and Ricky Hattons support was off the scale he took a reported 30,00 fans to Las Vegas for his title fights plus both sets of football fans attended his funeral. Obviously Ipswich is smaller than Manchester but the support for sport down there cant be knocked, the town should be proud. Was great to see Fabio win he put in a great performance.

Totally get your response and you could even through Oasis into the mix when talking about icons and backing your own, I just referenced that on here as I don’t think those football clubs United and City would ever support the speedway like town does the witches. That’s why I put Manchester football is too big probably and doesn’t notice the aces, although I apologise if they have been involved with walking out at the stadiums etc too! (Again, this isn’t a dig at anyone on here for saying we are better) it was just to say well done to all of Ipswich.

No not a dig at all football takes all the headlines up here United and City dominate the sporting scene, followed by rugby league and cricket, lot of lower league football clubs as well, after Hyde Road was demolished quite a few fans were lost as they couldnt adjust to the confines of the dog track, then crowds just fell off and when the NSS opened many had been lost for good. Its amazing when i mention speedway the amount of people who say i used to go to Hyde Road are they still racing, they dont even know the NSS exists. I have seen David James when he played for City at the speedway and have seen Paul Scholes a few times too, sadly as we are seeing with the demise of so many clubs speedway is falling out of peoples awareness. Belle Vue have become Manchesters best kept secret. Was encouraging to see such a good crowd for the play off final second leg.

Really nice words. And interesting about him being “alienated” in some quarters for bringing him in because of the war.

Good on Chris Louis for not allowing the wokies to win.

Emil is one of the most respected riders in our Sport and he always shows the utmost respect back.

Been a pleasure seeing him race in the UK over the last few years.
