szkocjasid
Glasgow vs Oxford is off. Neither club has a fixture on the 11th, should be a simple one to rearrange. Oxford certainly don't mind using guests when they only have half a team.

The top heavy team building was evidently strategic; a risk to seek the reward. Evidently, the plan was for the main body of the side to accommodate young Freddy and Max, thus affording them time to develop and fulfil their potential. What there wasn’t a contingency plan for was young Ashton - who drew the short straw with his average, becoming a victim of his own rapid progress - having a nightmare season. It’s also about small margins. Leon Flint scored 3 from 4 at Scunthorpe. Inexcusable and had he scored one more point, we would have won that meeting. Had he scored at all in his first two rides at home to Poole, we would have drawn and had Jason Edwards and Paul Starke not secured a 5-1 over him in heat 12 of the same meeting, we would have won. Had Kyle Howarth not been passed twice in his first two heats in that same Poole meeting, or scored one point from heats 13 and 15 at home, we’d have won or drawn. Our team building strategy means we can’t accommodate those shortcomings. We’ll have a good season, all in, but that title is Poole’s. 100%. That track, however, would cause a man to fall out of love with speedway.

Originally Joe Thompson was destined to be at two but cami calculator didn’t realise it would take them 0.01 over the limit so Ashton was signed / poached from Oxford despite already having signed a contract with the cheetahs. Colsimmo58
The silence is deafening coming out of Ashfield, nothing on their website since July 4th, No mention if any speedway this Fri (11th), A FREE DATE, could have raced Oxford (League) or Edinburgh (KOC). Now Edin are facing Redcar on 11th What excuse have the Tigers got for not arranging Oxford, Flint is injured, could use a Guest, or are hoping the weather will intervene again. Supporters are getting fed up with the fixtures being 2-3 weeks apart for a home meeting, BSPA get your act together I am getting p*ssed off, due to lack of regular racing on a Friday, this might be my last season, if 2026 is going the same way as this year fans will disappear

Personally I would have built the team with a lesser rider in the main body to accomodate a decent reserve.

How would clubs cope with 2H & 2A, they struggle to rearrange matches when it's 1H & 1A (plus BSN)?

Oxford have ridden with 4 guests & r/r before! The post did also mention the silence is deafening, if the promotion said they were working on fixtures, or did a Poole & blamed others for being unhelpful, then their own fans would be less annoyed with Glasgow. They had no problem before Covid when the European fixtures were broadly similar and running meetings outwith standard race nights was common place. A choice has been made and for a third year in a row fans are f**ked off with it. They can only make this choice for so long.

It would be easily doable (2H 2A) if clubs used a majority of British based riders, who didn't ride abroad.
