I do believe he has earned well, but millions might be pushing it? I Would believe Millions given the number of years at Top Level.Signing On fees would hefty and points money very decent.Anyway wish him full recovery , not sure he should continue in the sport though.
FAST GATER
Excellent news that Tai is on the mend hopefully will fully recover to lead a long and healthy life ,with regards to speedway I think that a decision is some way down the road . Imo people either over- under estimate wealth ,speedway is in real terms expensive to participate in, even at the very top compared to the overall rewards . Zagarmeister
He has to retire surely? He's lucky not to be another wheelchair case. Certain to have a career in punditry so that he can earn going forward. Not sure about the 'music'.

There would be constant raspberries and sqeaks to cover the f ing etc. I'm sure there would be plenty of life after speedway for tai though, he's certainly has a very big character. Gert Handbag
I watched the interview yesterday. He is a remarkable man. At the end he said they were selling their British property, and to me it seems like this is the end for him, although he did say he would like to ride his bike again. After all of his injuries, I hope he doesn't sit on a bike competitively again, and I wish him and his family health and happiness for the future. damosuzuki
Actually found that a difficult watch, what a horrendous experience for them. I hope he retires. He's done everything in the game and miraculously he has come through this well so far.
THE DEAN MACHINE
Hope he doesn’t retire if he not 100% sure about it because I know this will sound alien if you have never been a racer but injuries or not that itch is a bitch and will always be there when you don’t retire on your own terms

I just wouldn't want to see him have another accident though, with significant life changing injuries. He has been through a lot of punishment. ShanoXtra
The guy deserves to make his own decision on his future for sure, with a young family, I think this has made him realise how things can change, I wonder if Darcy’s life changing moment has made him think it’s not worth it anymore, especially when he wasn’t even due to ride in Ekstraliga this season. Racers don’t think about another accident though, the mentality you have is it will never happen to me and if it does you deal with it and think it will never happen to me again, when I finished it wasn’t through injury although I did finish with a back injury in my last meeting but I knew I couldn’t finish until I knew I’d had enough, I’d sratched that itch but even then a few years later I started riding in the veteran stuff
ShanoXtra
Still out here in Gorzow and according to numerous Polish media outlets only 6 of the 16 riders who participated in an individual event and spoke of giving their winnings to Tai have actually transferred the funds. The below riders are the only riders who have given so far from whom participated according to Tai: Zmarzlik Kubera Vaculik Thomsen Emil Przyjemski I’m surprised Lambert and Bewley haven’t coughed up their money (right or wrongly) and also łaguta who was the first one saying they would give the money to Tai.
