Can any Ipswich fans explain Sayfutdinov weird pre match 'ritual' he's just walked on the track, rolled about in dirt and then started scooting about on his arse like he's a dog with worms.

I've seen some warm ups in my time, but thst was the most bizarre!

Piles?

To be fair, Thompson should have moved out given Brennan rode the inside line...

Not a great plan to follow the same line...

He blocked Thompson more than once and I don't think even really knew he was there.  He's the senior rider and should have slowed when entering the bend on the outside because it was the gap which Holder exploited in the first place.  They may not have stayed in front the whole race of course but it's not the first time I've seen a lack of awareness/team riding from Tom.  Must be learning from Danny King!

This has to be a moral victory for the witches.  All riders contributing and the tigers heat leaders colours lowered.  If Ipswich stay fit then they are odds on imo.  The aces pose more of a threat over 2 legs, assuming they make some shrewd changes to their line up

How many points do they get for a "moral" victory? As for the Tigers heat leaders' colours being lowered, they scored 29+2 whilst Ippo's scored 23+2.... or was there an additional six "moral" points scored that nobody noticed?

The grand final is over 2 legs unless you hadn’t noticed.  The witches scored 44 without using a tactical sub last night.  That would easily be enough given how poorly most of the tigers go at foxhall.

Yeah Tom doesn't really do team riding!

Yeah, Sheffield really do badly at Foxhall... wait a minute....the last time we came there (Monday, August 19, 2024), Sheffield beat you by 38 - 52!

As a cycle speedway rider I thought it was terrible team riding, obviously riders wearing helmets & racing 500cc engines won't heat shouts from the pits, so I hold Speedway riders to a different standard, but can't understand why Brennan didn't look back at all to see who was behind him? Either to block his opponent or give his partner room.

Don't really understand how it can be considered a moral victory? It was the sort of performance that will win the league title (aggregate wins). But a defeat nonetheless.

Maybe if someone like Birmingham or Oxford lost by 2 points at Ipswich or Sheffield it could be considered a moral victory?
