eide67
Ist league match of the season, and against the current champions. Monarchs could really do with kicking off their home league season with a win, something they haven't done for a few years. Dayle Wood guests for Max James and Poole have replaced Academy rider Matt Marson with Darryl Ritchings. Teams from Edinburgh website: Friday 16th May: Edinburgh Monarchs v Poole Pirates (Championship), Armadale, 7:30pm STELLAR MONARCHS: Justin Sedgmen, Kye Thomson, Jonatan Grahn, Paco Castagna (Capt.), Oskar Polis, Victor Palovaara, Dayle Wood (Guest). WESSEX MARINE PIRATES: Richard Lawson, Tobias Thomsen, Anders Rowe, Zach Cook (Capt.), Lewis Kerr, Paul Starke, Darryl Ritchings.
topaz325
Could be close… monarchs look stronger in reserves but Poole heat leaders may cause havoc 😳
Arthur54
I see they have swapped Zach and Lewi again
JanAndersen
Could see the Pirates running riot tbh. Lawson is very strong at Armadale, Kerr too and with Rowe absolutely flying on Monday night he should score well. Even Starke has the odd good Armadale performance in him. I'd be thinking about changes already if Kye's form continues to be poor.

Gazc Posted yesterday at 09:02 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:02 AM 7 rides for Victor should keep it close.

Nickinho Posted yesterday at 01:32 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:32 PM If the Monarchs get past Workington in the KO cup then there will be EIGHT meetings between Edinburgh and Glasgow this season. That's really good for the fans methinks.

I wasn't surprised when he got hooked from his planned fourth ride.

Steve Shovlar Posted yesterday at 06:51 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:51 PM Kerr took three laps to pass Wood. Shocking stuff.
Steve Shovlar Posted yesterday at 07:06 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:06 PM (edited) Only reason Poole are level is because Edinburgh had two EF’s when on clear 5-1’s. We are not at the races! Victor Palovaara is a great signing for Monarchs. Won his two heats so far by a literal mile. JanAndersen
Someone is going to have to tell me why Grahn came in for Polis and not Dale Wood there.
